I have been excited about this month’s Themed Furniture Day since it was announced. What do you think it might be?
This month’s theme is French Country! Woo hoo!
I knew I had the perfect piece. It’s actually a piece I completed a while back, but I’ve never blogged about it. I’m sure I’m not the only one out there that has had that happen.
I picked up this really nice end table in a thrift store. I grabbed it up immediately. Great lines and curves.
No prep was required other than wiping the grime from it. I painted it with 2 coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Chateau Grey. Followed by one coat of Rustoleum Glaze. Just brush it on and go back over with a soft lint free cloth to remove the glaze. You are left with an antiqued, aged look. Seal with Minwax Wipe on Poly in satin.
It’s really a simple finish. I just did a very tiny amount of distressing.
The lavender has been an absolute favorite of mine. It’s hard to believe it is faux from Hobby Lobby!
I’d love for you to follow along on social media!
