French Farmhouse Candle Holder

Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to another edition of….

Thrift Store Decor Makeovers!

I so love thrift store shopping. As a result, I've collected quite the stash over the years. This monthly challenge has made me go through these and transform them. It's so rewarding to spend so little on someone's cast-off, and bring such joy in using it in our home.

My project this month is really, really simple. BUT what a difference a little spray paint can make!

Wow! A little spray paint can completely transform a home decor piece. Now it so fits into a French Farmhouse style!

I knew it had potential when I picked it up at Goodwill. It's a perfect piece that begs for a little paint and distressing. Spray paint took this to my favorite French Farmhouse style!

I spray painted a couple of coats of my favorite (affiliate link) Satin Blossom White by Rust-oleum. I let that dry thoroughly.

Then I lightly distressed the raised edges. It looks so nice with my thrift store tray.

  1. That is a huge difference, I see those style and color things at Goodwill often, and for whatever reason I just never think about painting them. Guess I should!

I love hearing from you!
