Historical Homes of Southport {Part 2}
Welcome to Part 2 of the Historical Homes of Southport-a walking tour.
Again, I'll keep the writing to a minimum so you can enjoy the photos!
If you haven't seen Part 1, you can find it Here!
I absolutely adore this cottage!!!
Homes in Southport and the area beaches always decorate for the 4th of July! It just adds to the small town charm.
Whimsical accents with the different colors adorn this Victorian styled home!
The historical homes all have markers. Notice the date on this yellow house!
This is just one of the wonderful mom and pop restaurants in the area. We love dining on the water!
This marks the second day of our walking tour. We were unable to walk along this side of the waterfront due to filming of the new CBS TV show, Under the Dome. Many shows and movies are filmed here and the Wilmington area.
Filming is a regular occurrence here….kind of used to it. It is always fun to stop and watch a bit. They were using a huge wind machine to make it look like a storm was coming.
Fancy movie props!
Since we couldn't walk on the waterfront, we decided to stroll the side streets.
While I strolled, my daughter rode her bike!
A view onto the main street with lots of antique shops!
Lovely side porch!

I'll have part 3 up soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yes, I love that little coral cottage. It is actually much bigger than it looks from the front. Such a charming town. I’d move there in a hot second if the kids were out of school! Enjoy your vacation! ~Christy
