Holiday Tablescape {Breakfast Room}

Thanks for sharing!

I finally have my poor, sick computer back from the shop…all well now!  I guess having the computer gone for so many days has given me the time to get lots of holiday decorating completed!  Here is my completed breakfast room tablescape .  I'll share the entire kitchen in my Christmas Home Tour!

Our kitchen is my favorite room in the house.  It is the heart of our home….the gathering place for parties, homework, etc.

The runner and napkins were a new addition this year coming from Homegoods.  I am on quite the plaid kick this season!

I love our divided antique dough bowl.  It has found its place on this table for quite a few years.  I adore dough bowls.  The faux apples are a yearly staple here.  I removed about half of them and used on the kitchen counter.  This allowed me to add fresh boxwood and holly clippings from the yard.  As they dry up I'll be able to easily replace and for free!!!  These have been here a week and still look great.  I have a love addiction of yarn and quite a haul!  I'll post a simple tutorial on how I put this centerpiece together later.

The chargers, candlesticks and flatware I have had for about 9 years from the former Southern Living home line.  The blue and white china were from Ingles years ago!  Do you remember when they had a plate of the week and you could purchase based on your total grocery bill?  I collected 12 place settings.  I mainly use them these days in the summer on the screened-in porch.  The precious holiday salad plates I just purchased from get this….Wal-mart!!!!  I am so smitten with them.  They are from the Better Homes and Gardens line.  I could kick myself for only buying 6!! (2 of each pattern)  Oh how I love to mix china!

I like to keep our everyday dining table pretty fuss free.  I won't leave it set like this all the time….too much goes on at this table.  It will look like this for company and for special family dinners.  I do leave the runner and the rest in place.  Just keeping it real!

Here is a bit of a wider view which opens to the family room and our main Christmas tree.

Be sure to follow me as I will be posting lots more from our home.  I will be sharing with you how I turned thrift store wreath forms into these simple burlap and boxwood wreaths and the easy peasy joy bunting!

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting with Our Southern Home!
