All You Need Is Love Printable and Chalkart

Long time no see…..I apologize for being absent last week. Sickness invaded our home. I was one of the unlucky. I'm feeling much better and so pleased to back in the swing of things.

I had so hoped to get this chalkart tutorial to you last week. Here you will find simple instructions to create your own chalk art. 

Short on time…..I've also included the free version that you can simply print! It is 5×7 in size.

 

 

I am really loving my thrift store art turned chalkboard. The size and colors really work well on my mantel. Layering art like this really creates depth and interest.

I've used it vertically and horizontally.

I have begun to really prefer my chalk pens. They do erase, but with a little elbow grease and a damp rag. You can see writing from the past coming through a bit, but that is OK with me.

 

 

You will save and print on your computer as an 8×10 or whichever size works for your piece. Find the printable HERE.

 

 

I drew the laurel freehand along the top and bottom. I actually had this already drawn for Christmas. I didn't erase it. I only erased my words.

You will turn your print out upside down. With the side of a piece of chalk, draw all over the back of the printout. Flip it over.

Place it centered on the chalkboard.

With a pen or pencil, draw the letters out. Be careful to keep the paper in place. I find it helpful to use a piece of tape at the top and bottom to keep it secure.

 

 

When you remove the paper, you are left with a light chalk drawing of your saying. Now you go over it with a piece of chalk or a chalk pen. 

HINT: I keep a regular pencil sharpener with my chalk to keep those points sharp.
