Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I’d like to share a bit about a fabulous site called Porch. You may have seen the signs at Lowes in your area. Porch is a home network that allows you to find the right professionals, get inspired, and manage your home….for free. Taylor from Porch emailed me a few weeks…
Merry Christmas! These past 2 weeks have been a fun, busy whirlwind! I have had so much fun being able to share our home and a few crafts and recipes along the way. I am so happy to have you here today. I recently shared my Book Pages Trees that go along with our master…
Yippee skippee! It’s thrift store makeover day! I missed last month with the kiddos both starting college. I’m back with a super easy project perfect for home or the dorm! Here is the before. We started to take it apart and remembered to take a quick photos! I plan to use the art for something…
I absolutely adore knitting! I am self-taught and have enjoyed the hobby for probably 15 years. Unfortunately, I haven’t knitted much in recent years. Knitting is a much simpler hobby to pick up now with Youtube and so many knitting blogs. I taught myself by purchasing one too many knitting books through the years and…
You guys know I love to paint! I’ve been working hard to finish a bedroom suit. I can’t wait to share it with you! Sometimes I grow tired of accessories that I’ve had for years…..like this bronzed rabbit! He has just been sitting in a corner in the guest bedroom kind of out of site….out…
Home Sweet Home…..that’s what matters most to me. Today I’m sharing my Home Sweet Home Sign Tutorial. I’d rather be home than anywhere else on earth. It’s comfortable, familiar and safe from the outside world. No, I’m not some hermit crab, but I am a homebody….especially during the colder months. When I thought of this,…

I love this scarf. It looks so thick and soft and comfy! I don’t knit but my daughter started this summer so maybe I can talk her into making one of these when she’s home on break. . . ? A mom can wish. I don’t think she knows what blocking is yet so that’ll be something we’ll figure out together. Super cute model!
Thanks, Shannon! It is a fast, easy scarf and blocking is not hard either. Feel free to message me if your daughter has questions or needs additional help. 🙂
Beautiful scarf. My daughter is teaching herself too.
Thanks, Ann!!! I hope she loves it as much as I do!! You Tube will be her friend!
Just following you. My Mom knits. I am taking knitting needles at Thanksgivning and going to take a lesson or two. I saw a Martha Stewart pattern to use. Wish me luck.
Thanks, Lori!! So nice to meet you! That is great. 🙂 I taught myself to knit so you will do great with your mom teaching you. What a fun time you’ll have! I’d start with a simple garter stitch scarf…knit every row with a chunkier yarn and maybe size 15 needle, but your mom will be able to guide you along. Don’t expect perfect at first…embrace mistakes or you’ll be frustrated. I can’t wait to hear your progress.
Beautiful scarf Christy and such a beautiful model!
Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate you stopping by!! Have a beautiful day!
It’s beautiful Christy! I wish I could knit, but it’s a hobby I have left to my mother in law. I’m going to have to pass this post on to her and drop some hints about a Christmas gift! 🙂
Thanks so much! I love to knit, but struggle with the time to with everything else! I have many works in progress!! Please share with your mother-in-law! She would love the ease of the pattern. Hugs 🙂
