Welcome to this month’s furniture makeover! The theme is Distressed. I’m sharing my distressed trestle table makeover. I love this technique. I’m a fan of gentle distressing along the edges where natural wear and tear occur. While extreme distressing does not exactly fit my home, I love it nonetheless. This is…
Halloween is almost here! It’s not too late to add a little spook to your decor. I’d like to share my tutorial on how to create Halloween Chalk Art……the easy way! Over the summer I purchased an overhead projector at a thrift store for $25. It works! I have really been on the look out….
I have been wanting to try my hand at a coffee filter wreath for a while now. There really are lots of beautiful coffee filter projects all over Pinterest! There are so many different takes and ways to make one. I decided to make a wreath for our dining room. I’d like to share with…
Merry Christmas sweet friends! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season so far. Mine is very busy right now, but shortly I plan to kick up my feet and enjoy my labor of love in decorating our home for the season. Today I’m sharing with you probably my absolute favorite…
Welcome the June edition of No-Sew projects. With Independence Day just around the corner, we decided to go with a patriotic theme. Who doesn’t love a little red, white and blue! I’ll be sharing how I made my No-Sew Stars and Stripes Wreath with a pool noodle. Be sure to check out the links at the end…
Welcome to Favorite Things Friday #4………Decorating with Plaids! It doesn’t matter if you are from the south, up north, out west or another country for that matter….plaids are hot. Plaids create a warm, cozy, casual atmosphere. I don’t know about you, but that’s what I want in the fall and winter. Since a…

I love this scarf. It looks so thick and soft and comfy! I don’t knit but my daughter started this summer so maybe I can talk her into making one of these when she’s home on break. . . ? A mom can wish. I don’t think she knows what blocking is yet so that’ll be something we’ll figure out together. Super cute model!
Thanks, Shannon! It is a fast, easy scarf and blocking is not hard either. Feel free to message me if your daughter has questions or needs additional help. 🙂
Beautiful scarf. My daughter is teaching herself too.
Thanks, Ann!!! I hope she loves it as much as I do!! You Tube will be her friend!
Just following you. My Mom knits. I am taking knitting needles at Thanksgivning and going to take a lesson or two. I saw a Martha Stewart pattern to use. Wish me luck.
Thanks, Lori!! So nice to meet you! That is great. 🙂 I taught myself to knit so you will do great with your mom teaching you. What a fun time you’ll have! I’d start with a simple garter stitch scarf…knit every row with a chunkier yarn and maybe size 15 needle, but your mom will be able to guide you along. Don’t expect perfect at first…embrace mistakes or you’ll be frustrated. I can’t wait to hear your progress.
Beautiful scarf Christy and such a beautiful model!
Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate you stopping by!! Have a beautiful day!
It’s beautiful Christy! I wish I could knit, but it’s a hobby I have left to my mother in law. I’m going to have to pass this post on to her and drop some hints about a Christmas gift! 🙂
Thanks so much! I love to knit, but struggle with the time to with everything else! I have many works in progress!! Please share with your mother-in-law! She would love the ease of the pattern. Hugs 🙂
