Planting Gro-ables by Miracle-Gro
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gro-ables for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
We had an incredibly harsh winter in South Carolina. I am in the upper north western part of South Carolina. Our last frost date is usually April 15th. Last week was so unpredictable with a few warm days and some shockingly cold days as well.
In early March, I shared with you my excitement over receiving my shipment of Gro-ables from Miracle-Gro to try. Gro-ables are a new product from Miracle-Gro. They are easy to grow. They are designed for the newbie and guaranteed to grow when planted as directed. We have been anxiously awaiting to get them in the ground. It finally happened!
My daughter and I worked the soil digging a hole and adding some fresh potting soil mix. I like to create a slight mound to grow vegetables. That way when heavy rains fall, water won't stand around the plant.
I can't tell you how easy the Gro-ables are to plant! Simply remove the direction label off of the top and insert!
They are affordable priced from $1.29-$1.49.
You do not need to cover the top of the seed pod with soil. Just water and watch grow! Be sure to mark your pods with the edible's name.
Each year we grow a small garden. This is the first year that I have used seed so I am really excited to watch the process. My daughter loves the process. She will be the official harvester.
Looking for some growing inspiration? Check out Sprout It! It has different gardens listed such as the Salsa Garden and gives you a list of everything you need to plant.
Great video to see the Gro-ables in action!
Happy spring! I can't wait to share with you our planting progress. I am so looking forward to cooking with these this summer!
