Spring Decorating Ideas
It is certainly starting to feel a lot like spring in the south! How about where you are?
Soccer season always marks the start of spring for our family. The days are nice, but those 7pm high school games can be brutally cold.
Maybe if spring starts to show its face with my spring decor, then maybe warmer weather will be right around the corner.
Today is another round of decorating fun for Decorating Enthusiast Team. The second Thursday of each month, we feature a new theme that is announced here and in our Facebook group.

This spot on the counter is reserved for pretty! I love to decorate this spot. It's pushed forward enough that I can still have work space behind it. I like to decorate a vignette for kitchens counters in a basket or similar tray. It makes it easy to move for cleaning and if you need more cooking space. I absolutely love this tray basket; so much so that I use it year round. I can't believe that it stayed packed away for so long in its previous state.
This basket didn't always have this weathered, farmhouse look. It was once very blond in tone from its late 80s purchase.

Seriously it will change your life…..well maybe just your baskets.
I bought this bunny for Ashlyn's nursery before she was born so I've had it over 18 years. It's made of heavy resin. It is still in her room. She has it on the floor by her door and dresser. It makes a great door stop when we have the windows open and the wind can slam the upstairs doors. That will sure wake you up!

I adore the blue and pink patterned bowls! Here is a secret…..I got them at Big Lots in January. Cheap and gorgeous!
A simple moss ball rounds out the look.
The checked pink dish towel is from HomeGoods.
I am really enjoying the white kitchen cabinets. It's so fresh and multiple colors look great with it. This girl loves pink!
I rave about my grocery store flowers. Surprisingly, I think this is the first time that I've bought tulips. They were 5 days old when I took this photo. I've never bought because they seemed so fragile. NOT!!! They are perfect. They exude casual elegance which is my style.

Love this beautiful and super sweet vignette, Christy! You have gotten a lot of use out of that basket and I love that you still have that sweet bunny for I’m Ashlyn’s nursery! XOXO
Thanks so much, Christy! Happy spring even though we are expecting cold weather this weekend!!!
Your kitchen is so pretty and I love the all the spring decor! I need to buy some real tulips, I can’t believe how well they last!!
Thanks, Debbie! Yes….I’ll be buying tulips more often. They are so pretty and had no idea they’d last like this!
how sweet that you still have the bunny. I love sentimental items that have so many precious memories. So glad that you are enjoying the white island. it looks so good.
Thanks, Laura! Need a few more finishing touches in the kitchen, but I’m so happy with it! It’s more of a chore to keep clean, but worth it.
It looks so pretty Christy! I love tulips…and grocery store flowers too! xoxo
Thanks, Nancy!!
