Thrift Store Caddy Makeover
Welcome to the very first Thrift Store Decor Makeover of 2017!
I look forward to this each month. The girls on our team are so creative.
Each month we show you a unique project. Now you may not be able to replicate the exact item, but you can apply techniques and ideas to your fabulous treasures!
I found this caddy at Goodwill sometime last year. It's really not bad as is. Kind of has that Laura Ashley look going on. It really didn't fit with my decor, so I decided to paint it.
Always shop with an open mind in thrift stores. It's our sincere goal that our projects will inspire you to hunt and rescue treasures. It's fun and saves a lot of money!

It's really quite pretty and in great condition. This was really an easy makeover.
Before you start painting, always dust and clean your treasure. I used Clorox Wipes on this.
Materials Used:
Steps to complete the project:
- Clean the item.
- Sand if necessary due to damage or finish.
- Lay out tarp in well ventilated area. Never spray paint indoors.
- Place risers, blocks of wood or anything that will raise the item off the tarp just a bit.
- Spray 2-3 coats.
- Dry thoroughly in between coats.
- Sand to distress if desired.
- Spray with a matte sealer, but not necessary.
- Have fun using!
My first look for the caddy is to hold napkins and utensils. You can find the napkins HERE.
This caddy has 1 long area in the back and 2 divided areas in the front.
My second use is for a desk or office caddy.
My pen obsession is real. I am loving these new gel ones that I got last week. For some reason I thought a new pretty set would get me working on my blogging plan for the year.
I'm really liking this use for my desk.
The 3rd use is for a flower arranging container.
Simply place small jars or vases in the caddy for water and fill with grocery store flowers.
Now it's time to check out the other projects to inspire your thrifts store finds or perhaps items you already own!

Perfect! I love multi-purpose items. Not sure which way I liked it best. Maybe with the utensils and napkins. I love the napkins!
