Busy Night Healthy Meal Solution

Thanks for sharing!

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Lean Cuisine, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HonestlyGood #ad http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

During the school year, we are one busy family with two very active teens. Woods is on the high school golf team and plays pretty much daily! Ashlyn is on the varsity tennis and soccer team. My husband I both try to stay fit through regular exercise and diet. Eating healthy is a very important part of our lives. Fortunately, I love to cook, and they love to eat it! There are those occasional crazy game nights when this normal routine is just not feasible!

We live out in the country and take-out options are a good 20 minutes away. Eating fast food is just something that we do not like to do as a dinner option. When I was asked to participate in the Target Lean Cuisine Honestly Good campaign, I knew this would be fabulous for my busy family! (or me really!!!)

Even outside of their active sports lives, they are so competitive even with each other! This was a shot in our backyard of them racing each other. Lizzie, our black lab, is already waiting at the finish line. No one can ever seem to beat her!

So off to Target we went. Our entire family loves going to Target! It is just so convenient! We picked up several items on our list and an easy, healthy meal for the next week!

Decisions, Decisions!!!

Lean Cuisine has launched a NEW collection of Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals featuring six different varieties full of 100% all natural, wholesome ingredients with a sauce you can add yourself. They can be found at your local Target!!

The new Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals are: Honey Citrus Chicken, Lemongrass Salmon, Pineapple Black Pepper Beef, Plum Ginger Grain-Crusted Fish, Pomegranate Chicken, Roasted Red Pepper Chicken.

Since we went shopping together, everyone got to pick the one that they wanted to try! I picked the Honey Citrus Chicken. My hubby and daughter picked the Pineapple Black Pepper Beef, and my son picked Roasted Red Pepper Chicken.

I couldn't wait to try these. The fact that they are so healthy, convenient and reasonably priced had me!!

Here is the Roasted Red Pepper Chicken. Everything cooked perfectly. The chicken was unbelievably moist. I don't think I've ever had a red pepper sauce in a frozen meal before! Yummy! I talked my son into a taste. He gave it a big thumbs up, and he is picky!

My daughter and hubby each had the Pineapple Black Pepper Beef. They both loved it. My hubby even said that it was the best frozen meal that he had ever eaten. I tried a bite of this one as well. The tender beef was full of flavor.

This one is mine….all mine! I loved it! I had the Honey Citrus Chicken.

On a generous note, together with their farmers, Lean Cuisine is donating a portion of the vegetables grown for LEAN CUISINE HONESTLY GOOD meals to local communities.

The next time, I head to Target….I'll be tossing these Lean Cuisine Honestly Good 100% All Natural meals in my cart. They are perfect for maintaining a healthy diet on those crazy, busy school nights. Fast food take-out is just not the option that I want to give my family. I'll also be enjoying for my lunches. It will be a treat from my regular sandwich!

***Many thanks to Pollinate for inviting me to participate in the Lean Cuisine Honestly Good at Target campaign. This was a perfect fit for my family!***

Have a lovely day!

  1. From time to time, we will buy a few freezer meals such as this to have in emergency situations where we are really pressed for time. I have not tried the ones you wrote about but will look for them the next grocery shopping day. The thing about convenience foods is the sodium count is usually very high, for those who have to watch that factor.

Christy, I know you were asked to try Lean Cuisine meals and thanks for showing us the presentation of the cooked meal. Have you tried the Bertolli complete meals in a bag? We love the Italian sausage with rigitoni and we’ve tried the shrimp scampi one and that is also tasty. Add a tossed green salad or cole slaw and you have a nice meal.

  2. the pictures of the food is awesome! They look good! I will have to try these next time I get to target. Unfortunately Target is a 40 to 45 min drive away from me. 🙁

    1. Thanks, Heidi! Give them a try. We have 2 Targets…one 30 minutes away and one 40 minutes away. I just try to incorporate other errands at the same time. Target is so worth the drive! Happy weekend to ya!

  3. The meals look good, Christy! My son just got engaged and I’m trying to drop a few pounds this next year! These meals will be great for me for busy evenings! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Such a great option to have Christy! I’ve tried the Honestly Good Lean Cuisines myself and have to say they really are honestly very good! Love the action shot of the kiddos btw.
Cheers to being healthy and fit.Have a great week!

I love hearing from you!
