Deer Head Silhouette Pillow

Thanks for sharing!

Today is the Secret Santa Blog Tour. This is my first….it has been a lot of fun.

I'm sharing how I made this oh so easy No Sew Deer Head Silhouette Pillow.

This can be made with or without a Silhouette Cameo!

I really thought over this project. I always do when a gift is involved.

I knew I wanted to make a  deer silhouette pillow, but had to decide on the fabric!

I love the way it turned out….especially since it can be used beyond Christmas.

The recipient of the pillow is the sweet and talented Roeshel from The Diy Show 0ff!

We have met a couple of times at Haven. She has such fabulous style!!! I steered clear of traditional Christmas colors and went with something that would go with any decor palette.

You can visit Roeshel's site to see how she used my gift in her home. You can also check out what she made and who received it. Isn't this fun!

You will need:

Heat N Bond

pillow

pre-made pillow cover

Silhouette Cameo and supplies OR the included link to print a deer silhouette to cut with scissors

fabric of your choice

scissors

iron

I finally got my very first DSLR camera and gosh it's like a spaceship. Please be patient with me as I figure it out! This is the product that I used to bond the cut deer to the pillow.

You will adhere your fabric to the Heat N Bond using the directions on the package. I cut a 12 X 12 inch square to fit my Silhouette mat.

I made the deer shape large enough to fill the 12×12 inch space.

You can purchase the same deer pattern from Silhouette using Silhouette Design Store – View Design #68968: deer head

Don't own a  Silhouette machine? I found a free JPEG or PDF version to print HERE. You could easily print this on card stock to make a pattern without the use of a Silhouette Cameo.

This is a ready-made pillow cover from Hobby Lobby. You will find it in the window treatments section. I ironed out the wrinkles. Roeshel should feel very special…..I am not an ironer….my poor wrinkled family.

Here is the deer with the Heat N Bond attached and ready to iron. I roughly centered the deer on the pillow.  Then I ironed it on according to the directions. I let it cool completely before inserting the pillow form.

I really like the contrast of the trim with the glam of the gold chevron fabric.

I do believe I'll be making one for us. My teen daughter had a fit over it when she got home from school. She wants one for her bedroom.
