Harvest Fall Porch
We've just returned from our last weekend at the beach. Goggles and beach chairs are put away.
Fall décor has made its way from the attic.
The first area of our home to be decked for fall is the front porch. I went really simple this year, but love it just the same!
Welcome to my Harvest Fall Porch!
Marty from A Stroll Thru Life has organized another fabulous tour line-up for us all featuring our fall homes.
I kept things simple this year. Life is busy for all of us. This porch really took little time to decorate using what I already had. It is still very hot in Upstate, SC. There is not a real pumpkin to be had yet so I made do with my faux stash.
In late September or early October, I'll add a few real pumpkins to the base of the urns and perhaps a few mums.
The wreath I made last year. You can read about it HERE. I simply took apart my old wreath. I used the old pieces along with a little new to create this lush full wreath with a very different look.
You can get the upholstery tape in a variety of colors. This one is orange.
The urns from Ballard Designs have been a favorite on the porch for many year. I pretty much keep the same burlap ribbon tied most of the year and change out what is around the base. Here I added moss and tucked in faux pumpkins and gourds. Quick and easy!
I create the total harvest look by carrying the color scheme throughout the porch.
I normally decorate the arch of the door. Not this year. Simple is the game plan!
I adore the duck egg blue furniture with the fall colors.
I took my chalk painted tray basket and filled with pumpkins, leaves and a black bird.
You can find the tutorial for the paint treatment on the basket HERE.
These inexpensive faux orange pumpkins were painted with Old White by Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and 1 coat of clear wax. Then I simply hot glued twine around the stem.
These large lanterns were purchased several years ago. It's too hot for candles out on the porch. I filled them with brown wired outdoor lights and they create an instant lamp! They are plugged into an outdoor timer so give the porch instant mood lighting at night without a thought!
A southern porch would not be complete without rockers or wicker.
Wood and ceramic add and extra layer with the leaves and gourds.
The little grapevine pumpkin was a wreath pick leftover from last year's wreath project.
Please PIN the above image for later. 🙂
Be sure to check out the other fabulous homes on the tour for today!

Your porch looks so pretty, love all of your Fall decor. Thanks for the inspiration to finally get started on mine. Could you let me know where you found the mini grapevine pumpkins in your wreath, I love them and can’t find anywhere. Thanks : )
Christy what a delight your porch is. I have a similar color brick on my home and my front door is painted a seafoam green like your mirror and table. But I never thought to add touches of black and it really works!
So pretty Christy….love that wreath!!
