Simple Spring Party
*This post is sponsored by Tractor Supply. I was provided product and compensation for my honest opinion. All ideas for Simple Spring Party and opinions are my own*
This time of the year is my favorite! The days are longer and the yard and gardens are coming to life. I always feel a sense of being energized. After the long winter, it's easy to get a bit stir crazy and restless especially after the holidays.
Spring has sprung!
Spring is a great time to get together with your girlfriends before summer and the kids are out of school. Let's plan a Simple Spring Party!
It would be such fun to get together with a group of friends or family members for a couple of hours of spring fun. Make it fun and host a spring gift exchange like you do with Dirty Santa. That's always such fun! A couple of ideas for a gift exchange are…..
- Nail Polish Exchange
- Lip Color Exchange
- Yard Ornaments
- Gardening Fun
- Summer Napkins
- Costume Jewelry
So many ideas! I'd love to hear your ideas in the comments. Set a price point and send out your invitations!
I decided to put together a small spring get together for six. It can be as small or as large as you'd like.
Be sure to read all the way until the end……there is a special GIVEAWAY!
We recently got a new dining room table and chairs. I thought the setting was perfect for my tablescape.
Think outside the box when decorating your table. You don't have to use a tablecloth! I wanted to use aqua on the table and this is actually a throw from my daughter's bedroom. Don't worry….she's at college so she won't know!
Ideas for Tablecloths
- fabric
- throws
- sheets
- scarves
- beach blankets
- some rugs (did you see my spring kitchen table)
I like to set up my table the day before a party so you aren't trying to get everything done at once. Do in advance everything you can! Look at these adorable decor items from the Trisha Yearwood Home Collection available exclusively at Tractor Supply.
I am seriously blown away by the quality and just the down-home vintage, farmhouse feel.
If you notice, the 2 pedestal servers, large and small and the Jasper Farms Tray have glass inserts! I love that feature.
Positioning everything also gives me a feel for what I want to put in that amazing metal Jasper Farms Tin. Do you notice the rope handles?
Pedestal servers like these are great in varying heights and sizes. Try to layer the table with different heights and texture so the surface doesn't appear “flat” and one-dimensional.
So many great uses for that Jasper Farms Tin.
- Flowers
- Ferns
- Gift Bucket
- Beverage bucket by lining with a garbage bag and filling with ice
- Rolled towels for the bath
- Blankets for the family room
- Toys
The day of your party, you fill up your serving pieces with your goodies. Keep in mind that the real reason for the party is the fellowship. You are looking forward to being together. Keep your food selections simple and hearty with just a few. Eleven in the morning is a good time. You are in between breakfast and lunch. If your event is during the week, this still allows time for afternoon errands. There is nothing wrong with purchasing pre-cut fruit and fresh baked good from the store bakery! The perfect thing to serve are very simple Ham & Cheese Croissants. I'll be sharing the recipe soon.
Our dining room vibe is rustic elegance so I really went with the same theme for the tablescape. I added a touch of elegance with the candlesticks that I've had for many years and my parent's crystal that they got when they were married in 1963. Do you notice that amazing finial? Perfectly distressed!
Notice the height and size difference in the two pedestal servers, large and small. These pieces are just beautiful! I know that I will get so much use out of them! The two-toned colors and distressed metal make them unique.
I adore the down-home look of the collection. It just reminds me of family.
The same Jasper Farms in on the wooden tray with glass insert and carved out handles. It's perfect for entertaining.
Grocery store flowers are my favorite. I love it when I can be efficient and take care of the groceries and flowers in one stop. This adorable Milk Bottle Carrier is just perfect for the kitchen counter, end table or coffee table. One bunch of flowers is the right amount to divide between the 3 glass milk bottles. I thought my thrift store roosters were the perfect addition to the farm themed table. The flowers needed a little height so I added another thrift store box makeover to raise them a bit. Keeping the color scheme simple with blues, greens and neutrals keeps everything working together.
I hope you've been inspired to plan your own party for a few girlfriends. I know I'm ready to head to Tractor Supply to check out more of the Trisha Yearwood Home Collection. Incorporating southern style has never been easier or more affordable than with this collection! It’s a dangerous store for Me….lol probably for a lot of us country gals! Haha I can’t decide which is my favorite LOVE everything but the pedestal set is so easily changed from one party style to another I’d have to pick them as #1! Thanks for sharing!!!! I love the Trisha Yearwood Songbird Geometric Canisters. I love your table setup. It looks so much like Spring!
Love Tractor Supply….when I walk in the door….just that scent, I woof it in…… and I might add, my grand dog (Oliver) loves to go also.
I love the Paulk Fresh Basket….I repurpose my Starbuck bottles and am always looking for a pretty vessel to use them in. This would be beautiful!
Jasper Farms Pillow…….I would love to have this for my screened porch!!!
The Honey Bee Spice Cubby. I wouldn’t use it for spices tho. LOL
I think my favorite is: Trisha Yearwood Honey Bee Galvanized Canisters, Set of 3.
Funny, my husband was just at TSC buying chicken food and I asked him if he saw the Trisha Yearwood collection. He said, “where would that be in the store?” He might have walked right past it. I’ll have to go with him next time so I can see (and buy) for myself. I love the blue rooster/plaid tray. Everything rooster is usually red and that doesn’t go with my decor. Thank you for sharing party ideas. I love the gift exchange ideas, too.
I always love to see how you decorate your home. I have never been to Tractor Supply, and it is in a nearby town. I will definitely visit them soon.
Love the Orson pendant light + everything you used!
Your table is beautiful and I love Trisha Yearwood’s new farmhouse collection.
I love everything but my favorite is the cowboy armillary candle holder. Matches my lighting in the house.
Love your beautiful table. You have the perfect balance of rustic and refine.
Thank you so much for sharing Tractor Supply, I’m headed there now to check out all of Trisha’s collection. I especially like the milk bottles and holder-perfect for flowers. I love how you’ve decorated your dining room.
