Thanksgiving Mantel Decorating Challenge

Thanks for sharing!

It seems like yesterday that my kids were starting school back in August. Now we are decorating for Thanksgiving! Time sure does fly.

I hope you've had a wonderful week. I'm feeling a bit giddy….we finally have sunshine in SC. We've had weeks of clouds and rain. The sun sure lifts the spirits.

My group of blogging girls makes me happy as well. They are all so creative and do such a fabulous job of inspiring us all.

Last month I shared my Halloween Mantel for One Space, Three Ways.

This month I removed the spooky and replaced with pilgrims!

I've mixed a few real white pumpkins with my dollar store painted ones.

The “Give Thanks” sign is a new project that I'll be sharing next week.

This time, I let the oil painting with the fall-like colors be the focal point. The pilgrims were $2 for the set – thrift store find.

The got a coat of antique white spray paint.

The hydrangeas were dried. I've been using them for several years now. They go with so much!

I filled up my olive bucket with faux pumpkins.

Lately, it looks like my photos aren't complete without a photo of Bentley. He is right in the middle of everything. I moved that pillow from the leather chair that he was sitting in. I placed it in that chair. He had to go jump up there with it. Such a stinker!

  1. Pretty, Christy!! That beautiful picture is the perfect backdrop. Love that you spray painted those pilgrims too! You should post Bentley’s IG handle when you share him, people might like to follow his adventures. 🙂

  2. Bentley is king! I just adore those little pilgrims. It’s nice to see those little signs of how I remember decorating for Thanksgiving when I was growing up.

I love hearing from you!
