Christmas in the Master Bedroom
This time last year our master bedroom looked nothing like it does today! It was dark, dated and a touch too masculine. I'm not done yet. I still want to repaint the walls and add a new bedskirt. Baby steps!
I'm excited to be joining the BHome group again this year with our Christmas tour. It's a little bit of everything to get your holiday started!
Make sure you read to the end! There is a big Giveaway plus more holiday inspiration!
Master Bentley welcomes you to our bedroom….or should I say his bedroom. He rules this roost! He's actually Ashlyn's dog, but she's in her freshman year of college. He now sleeps peacefully with us….me not so much. BUT look at that face…..how do you say no?
We seriously watch TV in here every night with the kids in college. Sometimes we even eat dinner in here and catch up on shows.
We purchased this loveseat late winter last year at Ashley furniture. It replaced 2 old and falling apart dark green club chairs. It is deep and super comfortable.
This pillow used to be in the guest room, but works perfectly with the new color scheme in here. Only regret is that I didn't buy 2 at HomeGoods a couple of years ago. The vintage Christmas scene is so pretty.
The matching oversized ottoman is perfect for 2. I cozied it up for the holidays with a new faux fur rug for the top. It faces the gas fireplace and TV.
Quite a few years ago, I made the snowflake garland with supplies from Dollar Tree and thrift store books. I still love it to this day and has a home on our mantel. You can find the tutorial HERE for the DIY Snowflake Garland.
The gold ball ornaments have been around about 20 years. The wooden deer came from Hobby Lobby.
The vintage look trees came from World Market. They've been on the dining room table, family room mantle and on a console table through the years. Timeless classics are my favorite!
Just a large hole punch that your find in the scrapbook section can allow you to create all kinds of garland ideas.
It has been my cozy spot to catch-up on Hallmark Christmas movies.
To add a little Christmas in the bed area, I just strung some white lights over the oil painting and a single reindeer pillow on the bed. A sprinkling of blue and silver ornaments in bowls adds additional holiday spirit.
A faux fur pillows keeps with the cozy, winter theme.
I replaced the heavy window treatments with crisp, white ones from IKEA. They look fabulous. i still need to hem them.
I wish you a very cozy Christmas!
I invite you to take a look at our Christmas Porch….It's my favorite porch design to date. I just love a Christmas porch!

Everything looks just so perfectly lovely!
Thanks so much!!! Merry Christmas!
Love the Bedroom colors & especially love the print Sepia pillows on the bed, with accent pillow!
Thanks so much! I am loving the change in here. Merry Christmas!
Your master suite is gorgeous! I love the Bosphorus toile Euro pillows on your bed; l have the same size shams in a different colorway in my house, and just love that pattern! As for the antiques at French Garden House, isn’t that silver cruet set divine?
Thanks so much! Yes, I just love everything at French Garden House!
Everything is so beautiful, Christy! Your bedroom is both warm and inviting as well as fresh and inspiring. I love your soft blue accent color and mix of patterns and textures. So fun being on the tour with you this week!
Thanks you so much! Such a fun tour!
I am in love with your bedroom! I first saw it without the Christmas decorations and said to myself, “I FOUND my inspiration!” We currently have an antique mahogany bedroom suite and the bed looks so much like yours except our corner posts are shorter. We do plan to purchase a new suite with a larger size bed as ours is a full and will be moved to one of our guest rooms as we too are empty nesters. (Our girls are 24 & 25) My walls are lighter (Benjamin Moore Pale Oak) however, we painted our ceiling Benjamin Moore Quiet Moments. A soft blue grey. I love it but have been trying to decide exactly how I wanted to redo the rest of the room. We already use a white coverlet. The curtains we had are gone as they went with our old bedding and like you said, just too heavy. I too am classic/traditional in my decorating and style so when I saw the Bosporus Toile pillows, I knew what direction I would go!!! And I plan to look for brown transferware plates as well. It so warm and comforting and cozy but most of all, looks absolutely relaxing!
Thank you so very much! Always fun to connect with gals with similar decorating styles. I love Pale Oak!! I may have to try that in here. The toile pillows are from Etsy. I found the brown transferware on eBay. They are new so not very expensive. The soft green plates on the wall were from TJ Maxx I believe. Again, thanks so much! Merry Christmas! XO
Such a beautiful, peaceful, Christmas bedroom!
Thanks so much!!! XO
Your bedroom is beautiful! I love the Boulangerie Breadboards. Following on FB and Instagram.
Thank so very much! Merry Christmas!
Your bedroom looks so cozy and inviting. I love the updates you’ve made in this space and can see why you and your hubby spend so much time in this room. Your Ikea curtains look great. I’m thinking about investing in a few sets for our lake bedroom.
Your bedroom is so warm and comfy. You have added beautiful touches of Christmas. I was hoping the pillow you bought was from Easy so I could look. When in Home Goods buy extras and then return has been my motto.
Cindy
Christy, I love your bedroom. You have designed the perfect retreat, cozy, beautiful and personal. Everything in your room is lovely, I agree with Kerryanne! I’d be really tempted to stay forever.
We have a lot in common in our master, each of us has their own Bentley {although mine is a 110 lb. Golden Lab!}, a cozy spot to watch Hallmark Christmas movies, and a fireplace. {Yours is “real” mine is just “planned”….I am hoping that Mr. FGH puts in the real thing this year for the holidays.}
Wishing you and those you love a very Merry Christmas, friend. It’s a blessing to be on this bHome Holiday Tour with you. xo Lidy
You are so sweet, Lidy! Thanks so much! Bentleys are sweet! LOL! We have a black lab named Lizzie. She’s 12 and doesn’t like photographs. LOL! Merry Christmas!
Your bedroom colors are so pretty and serene. I love the way your Christmas decor works with your color scheme. Beautiful and cozy.
Thanks you so much! I use traditional colors everywhere else. It was fun to use something different just in our room! Merry Christmas!
I love the way you have transformed your bedroom Christy!…so very beautiful!
It is so fresh, yet you have maintained that warm and cozy feel. I have always loved your bedroom with the wonderful fireplace. Looking forward to more of this gorgeous bedroom transformation….Merry Christmas Christy!
Pretty and cozy, Christy. I would be sitting there in front of a fire watching t.v., too and probably nothing would get done.
Love your bedroom and Bently is adorable! Love all the religious antiques at French Garden House, especially the prayer books.
Thanks so much! Yes, the shop has beautiful finds!
What a cosy bedroom Christy. I’d be tempted to never leave!!
The colours are lovely and I adore that handmade garland. Pinned!
Merry Christmas.
