Embroidery Hoop Wreath
It's Thrift Store Decor time again!
I LOVE this monthly post. I have such a stash of thrift store stuff in my attic that this makes me go through it and create.
I'm sharing yet another thrift store wreath makeover this month. This one is SO EASY!
Embroidery Hoop Wreath
This hoop wasn't cheap at $15, but you can tell it is old. It has weight to it and not thin like the ones in the craft store. I'd love to see some needlework made with this!
All I used was wire as to not damage the hoop. I may decide to take up needlework one day!!! LOL!
Supplies Needed
- embroidery hoop
- floral wire
- faux eucalyptus
- faux fall leaf swag
- wired ribbon
- scissors
- 2 grapevine pumpkins
I wired some older, less pretty eucalyptus to the base.
Then I wired some fuller eucalyptus to the hoop to strategically cover the wire. The wire is also great to tuck in pieces.
Then I took 1 large fall, leaf swag and wired it in place in 2 spots: at each end.
I made a full bow with wire ribbon and inserted 2 grapevine pumpkins from my old wreath.
I tied a loop of ribbon for the top to hang on the nail.
HINT: Simply remove the fall, leaf swag and add one for Christmas! Change out the ribbon if needed. Super simple!
I had this small, door mat leftover from staging. The browns in the mat and grapevine pumpkins help to bring the brown ribbon and greys of the larger mat together.
The wreath is a bit heavy to one side. I simply folded over a loop bit of gorilla tape and added it underneath on one side. You may not want to do that on a painted surface. It's holding it in place great.
We do not have pumpkins in our area yet. I can't wait to add some real pumpkins and mums soon! It is still HOT in SC!
Make sure you check out the other projects from the team below!
I am blown away be the creativity.
Beautiful!! I just found pumpkins in our area the weekend!! Pinned it for later 🙂

So cute! You also make beautiful wreathes!
Christy,
Your embroidery hoop wreath is beautiful! I like that it will easily switch to a holiday wreath. (and that you didn’t ruin the hoop. Smart thinking!

I love the way this turned out! Wish I had held onto my hoop before donating it . Your porch is gorgeous too!
Seriously, the wreath is super cute, but your porch!!! I love it! I need to run out and get a second rug for my porch after seeing this. Just stunning!!!
