French Country Chalk Painted Table

I have been excited about this month's Themed Furniture Day since it was announced. What do you think it might be?

This month's theme is French Country! Woo hoo!

I knew I had the perfect piece. It's actually a piece I completed a while back, but I've never blogged about it. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that has had that happen.

I picked up this really nice end table in a thrift store. I grabbed it up immediately. Great lines and curves.

No prep was required other than wiping the grime from it. I painted it with 2 coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Chateau Grey. Followed by one coat of Rustoleum Glaze.  Just brush it on and go back over with a soft lint free cloth to remove the glaze. You are left with an antiqued, aged look. Seal with Minwax Wipe on Poly in satin.

It's really a simple finish. I just did a very tiny amount of distressing.

The lavender has been an absolute favorite of mine. It's hard to believe it is faux from Hobby Lobby!
