Last Minute Gift Ideas
Welcome to FAVORITE THINGS FRIDAY!
I thought I'd share a few last minute gift ideas along with my favorite cosmetics and other items today that would make the perfect stocking stuffers for the lady in your life or perfect gifts!
Sadly, I'm not finished with my Christmas shopping. I'd better get busy. I'm an online shopper so I really need to be finished as soon as possible!
All of these items I actually use or own except the tea timer. I just ordered it! This post contains affiliate links.
I love this Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer. With age, I tend to have a bit of redness. This really helps to tone that down. It really a smooth look for your foundation choice. And no…..your face will not be green.
I wear this when going out during the day for errands when I want a light and natural look. This Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream offers a bit more coverage than a BB cream. I wear it in fair. I do apply it over the primer.
I love my Pur 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup in Light. I'm lazy when it comes to liquid foundation. I really detest applying it. I've tried the loose mineral foundation through the years. It's messy, and I don't like the look. I find that this is perfect. It's actually more moisturizing that the regular loose mineral powder. This is easier to put on when out as well. If I'm working or going out at night, I'll use this in lieu of the above CC Cream. It can also be used over the BB cream to freshen up in the evening for a last minute dinner.
I've been using this Revlon Color Stay Concealer in Fair for my dark under eye circles. The trick is to apply it to the top of liquid foundation or under powder foundation.
I've been using this Benefit Air Patrol for a couple of weeks now. I really would like to not always wear eye shadow, but my lids look yuck without something. Occasionally I tried a little concealer on them, but didn't like the look. I was skeptical about trying this. I do have sensitive eyes. The girls at Ulta swore by it. Several of them had it on for that natural eye look with just liner and mascara. It's actual an eye shadow primer. It is the bomb!!! I wear it alone or as a shadow primer. It does make your shadow last longer. It takes a tiny amount to smooth on the lid. I'll even add a dab to my under eye circles per the makeup counter gals recommendation.
The same girls suggested I try Benefit's Longwear Powder Shadow in It's Complicated. I was a bit unsure at first. It's a golden, peach color. One had it on and swore I'd love it. I do! It really brightens my eye with out looking harsh or unnatural.
I line the very top of my lids with this cream Maybelline Master Kajal liner in Charcoal Skies. I then add a very faint line under my lower lashes from the outer part of my eye to about the center. It never needs sharpening. It glides on easily. Really opens your eyes and defines your lashes.
When I want to add a bit more shadow, I love this pallet from Sonia Kashuk in Sweet Nothings. You can find it at Target.
I can't stand mascara that flakes and gets into my sensitive eyes. This Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara in black is perfect for me. I get long lashes without clumping, flaking and irritation.
This may sound nuts, but I've been using Bobbie Brown Eye Shadow in Saddle, #61 on my eyebrows for double digit years! A little goes a long way! It helps to fill those thinning eyebrows that comes with age.
This is the Bobbie Brown brush that I use to apply the shadow to my eyebrows. They are pricey, but so worth it.
You can purchase this Revlon blush in Oh, Baby! Pink at your drug stores and big box stores.
I love, love this Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish in Cream of the Crop. I have it on now. It's a subtle nude with shimmer. Nice for the holidays.
You must use this activating top coat with the above mentioned polish. You can sometimes find these as a set. Then you only have to purchase the top coat one time and buy the other colors individually. No light required for this process. It removes with regular polish remover. It is tough and lasts much longer than regular polish. I have a bit of a nail polish addiction!
When using regular polishes, I like to use this Orly Nail Defense as my base coat.
This top coat gives great shine and makes your regular polish last so much longer. Again, no light needed!
Turning away from beauty now! These are items that I love and know others would as well.
My husband and I are hot tea drinkers. I bought this tea timer for his stocking. (hope he didn't pick today to read my blog!) It would make a great gift for the tea drinker.
I stay cold all the time at home in the winter month. I'd actually like to have several of these heated throws. I got this for Christmas last year and use it while watching TV and reading. It really warms me up before bedtime.
Between tennis and golf playing teens and us aging parents, we get so much use out of this shoulder and neck heating pad.
I just bought this dress by Karen Kane and LOVE it! It can be dressed up or down and is very chic! Doesn't wrinkle. It's perfect!
Yes, this breakfast sandwich maker is from the recent infomercial. It is well worth the $25! We use it quite frequently and it makes no mess.
Be sure to PIN the above image for later!
Merry Christmas and happy weekend!
