Merry Christmas Home Tour
Merry Christmas, sweet friends! I am so pleased to share our home with you today. I thank my dear friend Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home for hosting today's beautiful tour. Amber's gorgeous Christmas home is first on today's tour. If you have already visited her, thanks for stopping by with me at our home in the Upstate of SC.
We've got a festive lineup for you today that I am sure you will find inspiring. Get your pinning finger ready to save all the fabulous ideas from these 9 lovely homes. You'll find all of the links at the end of my tour.

We just returned home last Sunday from our 35th Anniversary trip. It was wonderful, and I can't wait to share Europe at Christmas with you. Luckily, I had the bulk of our home decorated before leaving. It's been a busy few days finishing up and getting things photographed. Today I am sharing our front entry, foyer, and dining room. Please be sure to come back for the rest of our Christmas home in the coming days.
TIP: You will find a source list at the end of each section. When possible, I will link exact items or similar.
The Merry Christmas Porch Entry

While I do not use a lot of pure Christmas red inside our home, I love to use it on the exterior. Red looks lovely no matter the style of your home. It is striking from the road and gives a classic feel for instant curb appeal.

Nothing on the porch is new this year. I replaced the garland several years ago. After 17 Christmases, it had seen better days. This garland came from Hobby Lobby. Buy the good garlands early. They tend to sell out quickly.

Next year, I will do a different wreath. I have enjoyed the uniqueness of this full teardrop wreath for quite a few years now. This one is still in fabulous shape. It will just be used in a new spot.

Most of my Christmas porch decor has been around for a while. I simply try to mix it up to make it new to me each year.

This Santa is so striking. He is on a cardboard cone-shaped base which makes him quite sturdy. If you have an At Home store near you, it's a great spot to find unique and affordable Christmas decor.
We have our first grandchild. This is Phoebe's first Christmas. I know that she is going to love greeting Santa when she comes over.

Blue and white chinoiserie is a favorite of mine. I have a bit of it in just about every room. It's classic and works with most styles of decorating. Adding it to the porches unifies our interior.

I added these faux magnolia trees to the porch this fall. They are a lovely piece that I will most likely use here through winter. I will then move my trusty boxwood topiaries back.
I picked up these garland lights at Old Time Pottery several years ago. They are my favorite porch lights. I've linked alternatives below. Lights are another thing that sells out quickly. My daughter found some online at Sam's Club last year.

The Merry Christmas Foyer
Our foyer is completely open once you walk in the door. There are no real walls for furniture. I have always decorated a Christmas tree in the foyer since our first Christmas here in 2004.

My late mother-in-law gave us a few Lenox Christmas ornaments through the years. I later joined the club where I would buy one new one per year that was dated. I stopped getting them a few years back. I am tempted to start up again.

I use old quilts as tree skirts.

Hobby Lobby is a fabulous source for floral picks to add fullness to your Christmas trees. Velvet ribbon tied into bows is just the finishing touch it needs.

A couple of years ago, I went with using touches of deep green and tan to unify our holiday home.
I have paired down the holiday decor and mainly accent what I use on the daily with ribbon and greenery.

Luckily, only one of these precious ornaments has been broken over the years.

The Santa on the stairs welcomes you into our family room. I'll be sharing it very soon.

Merry Christmas Dining Room

Our formal dining room feels cozy this year with our 7-foot accent tree.

This year I added accents of deep burgundy and dusty blue in the form of ribbon. Ribbon is such a simple way to introduce a color to your holiday home.

Do you notice the white Christmas houses above the antique armoire? I've collected them from thrift stores and unified them with paint. I added 2 more this year. You can read all about the white village here.

I kept the centerpiece simple and neutral with the addition of a pop of burgundy.

Collected white thrift store plates decorate the bar area of the dining room. This thrift store mirror is one of my favorite makeovers.

Carving out space for a little mini tree is the only seasonal decor this spot needs.

Many cozy dinners have been enjoyed here.

I am frequently asked about this chandelier. It is still available and linked in the sources list below.

While the dining room table and chairs are newer, it is surrounded by vintage, antiques and thrift store finds.

Years ago we gave this brass reindeer and sleigh set to my inlaws. When they passed away, we kept it. It's a sweet reminder of them every year.

This light and airy tree is a favorite. I also have the 9-foot version in our family room. It is simply adorned with teacups I never use tied to the branches with ribbon. The only other ornaments are lemon slices tied with dusty blue ribbon. Sources are listed below.

When George becomes captivated by a brand-new book called The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and begs her to find out where Narnia came from, there’s no way she can refuse.
Despite her timidity about approaching the famous author, who is a professor at her school, Megs soon finds herself taking tea with the Oxford don and his own brother, begging them for answers. What she receives instead are stories . . . little-known tales from different periods in Mr. Lewis’s life, which she takes home to George.
Why won’t Mr. Lewis just tell her plainly what George wants to know? The answer will reveal to Meg many truths that science and math cannot, and the gift she thought she was giving to her brother—the story behind Narnia—turns out to be his gift to her, instead: hope.
