Outdoor Upcycled Table
It's time for our monthly Furniture Themed Event! This month is small tables.
I've been a member of this group for well over a year. I love how it challenges me each month. Some months are easier than others…this month was crazy simple and easy for me. Sometimes you need that.
Here is the how-to for my Outdoor Upcycled Table!
This used to be an adorable mosaic tiled top table purchased on sale from Kohl's. Sadly it came crashing down by a playful pup that turned 10 a few days ago. Good for me that I hung onto that base. My hubby tried repeatedly to trash it. So glad I always caught him.
I knew that one day I'd make a new table with it. All of my supplies came from Walmart. I have been wanting this tray for a while now. I have the rectangular one.
Here's the 411 on this easy DIY!
- Clean your base
- Spray paint the base with 2-3 coats of Blossom White
- Apply E600 adhesive to the now white base where the tray will rest. Follow package instructions for use
- Apply the tray centering on the base
- Let it set up and enjoy on your covered patio or porch
Now it's time to enjoy my little table for my screened porch!
Simple, easy and oh, so cute!
It's light enough to move around your covered outdoor space.
The tray wipes clean so an easier alternative to a wooden top.
Simply adorned with shells and flowers. You'll want to leave plenty of room for that cool beverage.
I’d love for you to follow along on social media!

I really like your tray table Christy. It’s a fun piece! Everyone was so creative this month. I think it’s one of our best tours!
Christy.. this is so smart! I’ve been eyeing those trays for weeks and thinking I could do soemthing good with one. Love your idea. Pinned and shared:)
Cute, easy idea! I may have to copy this. Thanks for the inspiration.

That is a perfect outdoor beverage station! Summer and fun drinks are calling it! I’m so glad you kept the top and it now has such a great new life thanks to you!
Christy,
I love your imagination and creativity for your small table. What a perfect Summer table. LOVE it. Pinned 🙂
Love this table. I have a larger metal base that I have been dying to use. Does anyone know if Walmart sells larger trays than the one used in this project?
That Walmart, they have the best summer serving pieces/table parts, don’t they! 😉 Love your result, and the tray with sides will be safer with the pets! 🙂
How completely clever is this?! I just love it Christy! Gotta love Walmart!!!! 😉

SWEET! Great minds think alike…I found a stand curbside and added a galvanized planter and turned in into a beverage cooler. I love your project, Christy.
Thanks Larissa! I’m loving the look!
How stinkin cute is this?? That Walmart is just full of DIY projects waiting to happen lol. I love this…glad you stopped the hubby from ditching the base. 🙂
Thanks Christy! Walmart really has some cute stuff!!! Bread, milk and DIY supplies! One stop shop!
LOVE IT Christy!!!
Thanks so much Martina!
I like the look of this table and it’s great that it is small enough to move to any spot where you might need it when you are relaxing outside. I’ll bet that your husband is glad that you insisted on saving the base.
He is!!! Plan to put it to use tonight! Happy weekend! Thanks
What a great idea love it… now you have me thinking about some plant stands I have ….thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! Easy to keep that top clean!
