Early Fall Fashion Picks!
Early Fall Fashion picks!
I know you are probably not even thinking about fall clothes yet…..it's so blasted hot right now! But the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale happens every year around this time with huge savings for the cooler months.
You are seeing mentions of the sale everywhere, but this will be my only post on it. I don't want to bombard you, but this sale is just too good to not mention!
It's a great time to think about what you wore last year. Were those black leggings fading or your favorite cardigan starting to pill. Maybe you'd love to add a pair of leopard booties, but the regular price was always a bit more than you wanted to pay.
I personally find fall and winter clothes to be my favorite. I live in leggings with long cardigans and tunics. It's so comfy! Add a pair of booties and you instantly look on trend.
How does the sale work?
Do you have a Nordstrom Card? The sale runs early from July 12-18th. (sale ends August 4)
If you do NOT have the card, then you can shop July 19-August 4. (Everyone can shop)
The sale is why I got my card a couple of years ago. I order several times per year. The shoe selection is amazing. They also have FREE shipping both ways with a very generous return policy. *This post contains affiliate links.*
The sale runs for a generous amount of time, but I encourage you to act as soon as you see something you love. Things sell out fast. By the time this post goes live tomorrow, items below may be sold out. Apply for the Nordstrom Card HERE.
All items below are apart of the sale. I won't take the time to mention all of the sale prices, but if you click on the link you'll see all the details.
I am not a full fledged fashion blogger. I do not shop all the time. I do like to get a couple of new pieces per season at a great value. Usually with the Nordstrom sale, I go with pieces that I know will have longevity. I save my trendier, less quality items for Amazon. I do love several trendy online boutiques.
I dress casually, but like to look trendy when going out. I am 50 so everything that I share is something that I already own or would wear!
Here are a couple of tips!
- Read reviews for sizing info…..I find this step very helpful. Don't let one bad review skew you if the other reviews are favorable. Not everything will work on everybody
- Most of these items below have multiple color options.
- Right above the box where you select your size, you will see fit suggestions.
- If you see something you like, jump! This sale sells popular items fast.
- There is so much more on sale. You can see it all HERE. When you go to the page, click on the yellow sale button then you can shop from there as well.
Let's get started with my favorites from the sale!
These Spanx Faux Leather Leggings are hands down, my go-to staple in the cooler months. I wear them a lot like this with black tennis shoes. They look great with a bootie and I've even worn them with a leopard heel. They are very classy. I do always cover my bum when wearing them. They are normally $98 and are on sale through August 4 for $64.90. Plus size is available for $67.90.
I really love the look of this Spanx cropped jean. It's a while before we get really cold in the south. These would be so cute with leopard flats!
I got a pair of Articles of Society jeans last year on the sale per the recommendation of another blogger. I love them. The pocket placement is great and true to size. I really like the look of these black skinny jeans.
Kut from the Cloth is another blogger favorite brand. This boyfriend fit looks so comfortable and a little dressier with the dark wash.
A printed blouse like this would be so pretty for late summer and fall. It works tucked in or out and would look fabulous with the dark denim jeans above.
Tops like this are nice for late summer and transition nicely into cooler weather by adding a cardigan. I am all about clothing pieces that can be worn multiple seasons.
Now this type of top is what I live in. It comes in multiple colors and would be perfect with those Spanx faux leather leggings and tennis shoes! I'm ordering the oatmeal color.
Really nice long lines with this cardigan. Long cardigans can sometimes look too bulky, but not with this one!
Have you gotten the idea yet that I adore cardigans. They Are truly my favorite staple! This was a bit more of a looser look and oh, so comfy!
I have a tendency to gravitate to solids, but I'm finding this stripe so cozy looking! The turtleneck makes it a winner for me. Cute with jeans and tennis shoes or booties.
Nice loose fit to this pull-over sweater with many styling options. I like the deep side slits.
I really like this striped sweater as well. This would really be pretty for fall!
Pairing an animal or snake like print shoe can really take an outfit from ok to fab in an instant. It works with almost anything and has been in style for so many years.
Hunter boots are also rarely on sale. I've always wanted a pair, but haven't taken the plunge yet. At this fab price, I just may have to!
Classic driving moccasins are great transition from sandles into fall. These come in several colors.
I really, really wanted these booties, but my size is out of stock. They are hugely popular. Maybe you can find your size!
Here is more casual option for the leopard bootie!
If you aren't sold on the tall Hunter boots, then these super cute short ones are perfect!
These are not fall, but my favorite shoes are on sale!! I love these. They are so comfortable and go with everything! They are true to size.
Let me know if you have any questions! Happy shopping!

Thanks for the info. Where can I find the silver sneakers?
Hi, Jane! Thanks so much. Yes, those sneakers are fabulous! I am not sure where they came from. I pulled up a search page for you with a few similar options. You can view it here: https://rstyle.me/+6SrmpfEpHjxVWEp29Mn5zQ
Cute selection ! With the temps soaring here I can hardly think about what to wear in a few months! Love the animal print shoes.
Christy, I’m with you, I adore fall clothes and look forward to them every year. I feel like there’s so much more to them.
I wanted to mention your French country Christmas I pinned a few years ago of your kitchen still gets repinned from my board often.
