Favorite Things Friday {Home Office}

favorite things friday

It's time to get Favorite Things Friday cranked back up!

The last one was in December.

This week's installment is the Home Office.

I primarily work from home writing and creating content for this website and working as a Realtor. Currently my home office resides in the mudroom. It's an ok space, but has no window. I am wanting to change the wall color and style it.

I've decided that since I spend so much of my day in here that it needs a mini-face lift. Today I'm sharing a few inspiration photos and products to inspire your home office space. Whether you work from home or just pay bills from the office….it's nice to have it organized and pretty.

First off, I envy the windows in this mudroom home office. The neutral space has a calming effect on me. Do you notice the raised shelf on the desk. That would be a great DIY to utilize your work space.

Again, a very light an airy look. The closed cabinet storage is wonderful for containing the clutter.

Here we have use of pattern and soft color. There is ample visual and closed storage in this space. The cubbies above the work space are a nice added feature.

What a great space utilized in this narrow, but efficient home office. Fabric bulletin boards are wonderful for keeping important docs at your fingertips. One thing that I need to invest in is a comfortable desk chair.  Mine is a smallish antique chair that leaves my lower back sore after lengthy times in front of the computer.

I'd be afraid that I just sit and daydream with this view. Imagine the storage in this space!

I'd love something casual like this if I could carve out an entire room. Very relaxed and casual with room for seating.

  1. I am finding some new inspirations for my home office at our new home :). Well, as a guy/man, I think I will also add some “manly” stuff around my home office. What do you think?

I love hearing from you!
