We live in a small town in SC, and having a Belk 15 minutes from us has been amazing. I remember as a child going back to school shopping at Belk each year. I continued that tradition with my kids.
It's also where we took our son to get his first suit for college internship interviews. Mr. Herman is a fixture at our store. He was such a huge help in getting the right fit. So many of the employees have been there for many years. That says a lot about the company!
Back in the day, Belk offered layaway. I put a designer doll on layaway as a kid. My mom took me there weekly to use my allowance to pay for it. It really taught me about money and working hard to own something. I still have that doll!

I immediately scooped this dress up when I saw it in store! It comes in several colors, but I didn't have anything in coral. It's knit and so romantic with the wide ruffle at the bottom. I knew it was a keeper when my husband commented on how much he loved it on me. It's so comfy.

The dress is one of those that will work for all body types. It's loose and flowing with a gathered waist and a self-tie belt.

The jewelry that I am wearing would also be a nice Mother's Day Gift. The earrings and necklace match and the bracelet is a nice compliment. I love gold and pearl jewelry in the summer. It looks nice against summer colors and a little tan.

Just the earrings and necklace would make a lovely Mother's Day gift! The earrings are lightweight and give such movement with the graduated hoops. The necklace is dainty and perfect for summer.

The bracelet is the perfect accompaniment to the necklace and earrings. I love stretch bracelets. They are a breeze to take on and off.
The hammered gold finish is just beautiful without being too shiny.

The wedges are a great heel height and are very feminine without being too blocky.
They are true to size in my regular size 8.
I'll confess……pajamas are one of the last things that I will buy for myself. I'd rather spend money on things that I can wear out in the world. I know that's pretty bad, but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I wish you could feel how soft these are! My family bought me new winter pajamas for Christmas. I sleep so much better with new pajamas. They are soft and you just feel pretty with a matching set. We had a ceremony where I threw my old pairs in the garbage when I got the 2 new pairs. It was quite comical. I'm turning over a new leaf when it comes to pajamas.
Another thing that I never purchase for myself is perfume and higher-end beauty treatments. That's why they make a great gift for mom!

Buying Scents
- Parfum is the purest form of perfume, therefore, being the most expensive. It usually lasts around 8 hours.
- Eau de Toilette is what I purchased. The toilette will typically last 4-7 hours. This is perfect for me.
- Some brands will offer an Eau de Parfum Intense. It is a stronger scent. This one is not for me. It does last longer than the toilette.

This comes in a couple of sizes as well. I purchased the 3.4 ounce. It's such a beautiful spray bottle with clean lines. The scent is light and citrusy. I love it for spring and summer.

You can never go wrong with a candle for gift-giving. My kids have always used their allowance money to purchase my candles as gifts. I love them. When I light it, I am reminded of them.
