Outdoor Christmas Vignette
Welcome to my first Christmas home tour of the season.
My sweet friend, Bee, from Windgate Lane organized this tour with a fabulous lineup.
Today we are sharing ways in which we welcome our family and friends into our home.
A big holiday welcome from those of you visiting from Gourley Girl and Guy.
Here is the front porch to our home….Welcome! I must say taking the pics required major clean-up skills. It was quite breezy. I kept having to blow off the porch between shots with the leaves blowing everywhere! Whew…quite the workout.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I've been busily getting our home ready for the season. We cut our fresh tree at a local tree farm over the weekend. We will be decorating it tonight.
A few years ago I purchased this table from a thrift store and painted it duck egg blue. It has been a fabulous addition to our porch. It is a great spot to decorate for the seasons.
I simply folded a plaid chenille throw to use as a table cloth. My childhood sled from our early days of living in Virginia is tucked into the corner. Last year, we had such a fabulous snowfall in South Carolina that my teens used it!
I kept it fairly simple. I had forgotten all about the basket sleigh that has been in our potting shed for years!!! We had received a potted plant as a holiday gift in it. So glad I kept it! I cleaned it up and it's perfect here with a few faux holiday sprigs and giant pine cone.
At first, I started out with candles and faux snow in the hurricanes. I quickly changed to this. Our leaves are really falling right now around the house so it was going to be too much of a chore to keep leaves out of fake snow! I actually like the mini-red ornaments better.
I have gotten the most use out of this olive bucket from Decor Steals. A few jumbo red ornaments added to the firewood make it festive.
My teen daughter's plaid rain boots were an extra touch. Of course, she still wears these! Not sure how long they'll get to stay here. Expecting rain tomorrow.
Be sure to come back Wednesday for my holiday front door and on Thursday for the 12 Days of Christmas tour where I'll be sharing my 8 Maids a Milking vignette.
Next stop on our tour is Hi Sugarplum. I really enjoy Cassie's blog and fashion style. See ya there!
Here is a list of the beautiful blogs participating in this event!
