Happy Friday friends! I am so happy that you are here. I'm working to get more consistent with Fab Five Fridays!
All the kids have been moved into college and have had a successful start to the new year. I've been a busy bee working on planning my fall decor. Those posts will be in full swing shortly! My first Early Fall Post got me in the fall mood and you can find those home tours HERE.
Today is all about my favorite beauty finds!! You can see a Facebook LIVE that I completed on 3 of those below.
Cleaning your makeup brushes and tools are very important! I used to be very bad at this, maybe cleaning them 1x per year or when they just looked like they couldn't hold another grain of product. I was guilty of just cleaning them with whatever hand soap was by the sink. Good brushes are expensive and an investment. You want to take care of them! If you spend a lot of money to have your hair colored, aren't you going to use a product to extend its life?
Makeup brushes harbor germs and bacteria. When you don't clean them consistently, you are putting that back in your product and on your face…..hello breakouts!
You want to use a product designed for cleaning makeup brushes.
This luxurious brush and sponge cleaner cleans with key ingredients being tea tree oil and coconut oil. It cleans both natural and synthetic brushes without compromising the integrity of the hairs. Just simply swish in the container, rinse and watch your precious tools come clean before your eyes!
This is also featured in the above video. It's a cleaning mat. It's less than $7 and speeds the task along quickly! It suction cups to your sink and after applying the cleaner, you use this to gently scrub your tools.
This little baby is cheap and a valuable asset in your makeup bag! Simply swipe your brush over the sponge to quickly change colors! So much better than wiping off with tissue….what I used to do. I use the above cleaner to clean it as well. I love this and use it all the time!!!
I am a true believer in Collagen Peptides! I started using this in February and this is my 2nd bag. I researched a lot about collagen peptides before ordering and decided on this one. It is odorless and tasteless. You just use 1 scoop per day. I did not like it in my coffee. I'm not sure why. It just seemed thick. I love it in my hot tea. You don't even know it's there. I typically add it to my daily fruit smoothie that I make at home. If for some reason I do not do a smoothie, then I drink in a cup of tea late afternoon or evening. I have totally seen a difference in my hair, skin and nails. It has also helped my gut issues. I am not a doctor so if you have questions, please consult your physician.
This is the most motivating book that I have read in a while and perfect for women of all ages! It has nothing to do with skin care! LOL! They actually filmed a documentary on the weekend workshops she does that centers around the book. It was in theaters for a couple of days. I took my college age daughter and her friend with me. They LOVED it and want to read the book as well. It's a must read. I think they are working to have the documentary released on Netflix! I'd love to have access to see it again.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Here are a few posts you may enjoy!
