Yesterday was my Mom's birthday and my son's 25th birthday is today!!! Happy Birthday, Woods!
We are grilling fillets and shrimp for dinner tonight and playing corn hole in the backyard. This herb butter will be on the French Bread!
We had a great evening! We picked mom up at 4:15 for a 5 pm dinner reservation at The Lazy Goat in downtown Greenville.
Our meal was amazing. They are known for their fried goat cheese. Ashlyn and I are going to try to experiment with making this. It is soooooo good!
We started with the fried goat cheese and Truffle Pommes Frites for the table.
I had the Grilled Angus Beef Coulotte.
Needless to say that I ate what I wanted last night with no regard to dieting.
We had planned to take some photos downtown, but an unexpected late storm popped up after dinner as we were strolling around.
We went back to mom's to open presents and eat cake! Part of what I gave my mom was this and this adult coloring book, a huge set of artist-colored pencils, and an electric sharpener for them. She LOVED it!
Ashlyn has an adult coloring book and travels with it. I thought mom would find it fun. I can wait to see her coloring pages!
It's the perfect gift that's unexpected and fun. Plus it will keep her mind active and her hands working!
I'm working on redecorating my son's bedroom and found these really pretty blue striped sheets. They came in today so I can't wait to wash them and get his bed fluffed!
I got these joggers on sale for $5! I ordered a size medium and they fit.
I also ordered these adorable orange ballet flats with giraffes on them! They are so cute. I haven't decided if I am going to keep them yet for fall. I sized up 1/2 a size and they are a little wide.
I was so disappointed when Nordstrom canceled my order of these slides this week. I was so excited to wear them this fall. My size was sold out. They still have others available and a great buy. My size is just sold out. Bummer.
I did get these edgy black suede boots in for fall and winter. They came in today, and I can't wait to style and wear them!
Chambray Dress Look
This is definiely a shop your closet look. I've had this chambray dress for several years. It's lightweight and cool. You can find a list that I put together of similar chambray dresses HERE.
These sunglasses that are a neutral, pink color have been my go-to this summer. I love them!
I've had this exact purse for 2 years now. It's a great purse at a good price. It doesn't hold a lot. I can easily get in my small wallet, Iphone12 Max Pro, readers, tissue, and lipstick. That's enough for dinner our or simple shopping.
Speaking of lipstick. I love this new color Everboom. It's like coral, red and pink had a baby. It's like watermelon.
This bag is so adoable with these bag scarves. The set comes with 4 fun patterns for summer. They'd also be adorable tied as a bracelet.
The gold and wicker bracelets are worn with almost every outfit that I own. LOL! The wicker bracelete fits great on my wrist, but is a bit tight getting it over my hand so if you have large hands, it may not go on well. For the price, it's worth trying.

What Caught My Eye
We have guests coming to stay for a few days in September. I'm sure many of us are excited to be hosting family and friends again. Sarah from Grace in My Space has a fabulous post with ideas for getting your guest bath ready. This bath is so beautiful!!!
We are going back to the beach house for a couple of weeks, and this recipe is going with us. Stacy Lives in the Kitchen created this yummy recipe for Pasta Salad with Asparagus. We will go out to eat a couple of times, but for the most part being there is like being at home here. We cook and do maintenace around the beach house. Lots of lazy days. I may paint our bedroom while we are there. I'll cook this one night as a side with a piece of grilled fish. It looks so good.
Groceries at the beach are so espensive. We usually take 2 cars for an extended stay. I do a large Aldi order and take it with us!
Isn't this porch from Worthing Court beautiful and inviting! I confess, I really haven't done any new decorating on the front porch since spring. Crazy, right! I really need to spruce things up. I love Suzy's door color!
Don't you just love wall sconces? They are such a decor statement and can really frame a space. Unfortunately, it's not always feasible without an electrician or cords pugged into the wall. You've got to check out this idea from Eleven Magnolia Lane.

I hope you have an amazing weekned! See you next week!Buffer
