Happy Saturday sweet friends! It's time for……
Saturdays on the Porch #13
A lot of the same old same old has been going on this week. I've now completed 3 entire walls and molding in the guest room.
The dresser for Woods will be finished today. Y'all this will be the highlight of the weekend. His room is a disaster without this dresser. I'm so ready to get his room finished. He still needs new bedding, curtains, and wall art for over his bed. I'm seriously looking into Beddy's for his bedding.
Ashlyn has also been working on stripping the coffee table that goes on the screened porch. OMG! Y'all it must have 20 layers of paint colors through the years. I bought it in a consignment store some years ago for $40 and have never done anything to it. It worked as-is on the porch but has recently started to chip up on the top. Yesterday, we bought an outdoor stain for the top and paint for the bottom. Looking forward to this being finished as well.
Fit Tip: I am wearing a small in this dress. While I am keeping this size, I could probably also wear the medium for a more flowy fit.
This dress is so different from most that I typically like. I tend to go for solids, stripes, or florals. I've seen it worn by many blogging friends. It's been in my Amazon Storefront for a long time now. I finally gave it a try. I'm very impressed with the quality.
The top part is NOT stamped. It is actually embroidery which really makes it look more expensive.
It's modest up top not showing cleavage nor is it too short. It's so fun and whimsical. It will be great in the fall with booties and a denim jacket. It is lined so no need for a slip. It comes in many color options as well.
It does come in fairly wrinkled in that it is folded in a bag. It's nothing that a handheld steamer can't tackle. I originally purchased our steamer for our cruise a couple of years ago. It's now our go-to ironing method. It's so easy to use. While my steamer is no longer available, this one and this one have great reviews.
I also have this outfit that will be in an upcoming Chico's post minus the sandals. This dress is amazing! I did get the size 0 in this. It's so comfortable and easygoing! You can shop this look HERE.

Quick Salad Idea
We shop at Aldi a lot! In fact, we do 1-2 Instacart orders per week with them. The quality is good and the value is amazing.
This little box of Coconut Shrimp has been on repeat in our home. 1 box is perfect for a salad meal night when it's just the 2 of us. We split the box giving us 5 shrimp each. We just pop them in the air fryer on the nugget setting. It comes with a sauce that you can toss the shrimp in. I just throw it away.
We just create a salad with the veggies on hand and select a dressing from the fridge. So easy for a quick meal!
More from the guest Room
I finished this wall this week. It may not look like much, but the trim has to be primed then it has 3 coats of a satin finish. The walls have 4 coats of flat! White can be tricky to paint with.
Can you see the door? That is the old trim color. What a difference!
Color: Benjamin Moore Simply White
I have just the back wall to go, the window grids and all the doors! I've still got a ways to go, but lots of progress.
