This outfit was for a sponsored post for Chico's for an Instagram post. While this blog post was not a requirement, I thought I'd share it over here as well. I just love this outfit.
Kimono style for spring and summer can easily go for from casual to elegant by changing accessories and shoes.

Kimono Style for Spring and Summer
Kimonos or ruanas have been a big favorite of mine for years. Maybe it's because of my love affair with scarves.
Many come in prints and they look fabulous paired with solids.
- over a fitted dress
- over leggings
- with jumpsuits
- with shorts
- with pants
Kimonos are so elegant and chic. You can totally change the look with your styling in terms of shoes and jewelry.
With kimonos being loose and flowy, I prefer to wear it with something more fitted underneath.
I will get so much wear out of this ruana! It's beautifully made in silk. I am wearing the size small/medium. The colors will allow it to work with so many looks.
Do you notice the swan on the back? It's just such a classic, yet unique piece.
Take note of the colors! It works well with white, light taupe/tan, black, peach, sage green, and bright pink.
The jeans are so comfortable. I do not like white jeans to be fitted. White can be a tricky pant. I tend to find that I like a bit of a bigger size in white pants. I typically get a .5 in Chico's which is equivalent to a size 6 but went with the 1.0 which is an 8. It's a very comfortable fit.
I am so glad that higher waisted jeans are back in style. I recently cleaned out my closet. I had so many pairs of bootcut jeans that I was saving. Bootcut is back in so I was glad that I had saved them. Would you believe that they all fit!!! I was so happy, but I only kept like 2 pairs! The waistline was just too low. That low cut and mid rise was just so unflattering. I am so glad that they made their way out.
These jeans are a slim, girlfriend fit. As you can tell, they are slim fitting without being snug. They fit around your natural waist which is quite flattering.
The jeans are lightweight and will be on repeat through the early fall.
I think the next jeans from Chico's, I will try the petite length to compare. I think I wouldn't mind them just a hair shorter for summer.
The tanks come in several colors and go with many outfits. I am wearing a size 0 in the tank. They have some give and offer great coverage.
We are heading to the beach for a few days soon to celebrate the kids finishing up their spring semester at Clemson. Just one more semester to go, and they will graduate in December. I'll be taking this outfit with me to wear one night with these slides. I'll probably also wear a small gold necklace and larger earrings for a more beachy look.
Isn't this necklace gorgeous!
This cuff bracelet has been my go-to every time I go out. It's hinged which makes it so easy to wear. It's so pretty and great width.
Your eyes are not deceiving you. Bentley did not grow overnight. Our friends went on a vacation, and Ashlyn kept their precious, Prada, for them. She is the sweetest girl. Bentley loved having her….our cat, Jack, not so much.
Any of these pieces would be an amazing Mother's Day gift. I check Chico's frequently as they constantly have sales!
