This month's Pinterest Challenge is sure to give you all the fall feels. We are sharing 12 fabulous ideas to create a welcoming porch.

Here is our inspiration photo from Sugar Maple Farmhouse. The Quenzer's have such a beautiful front porch. They have a large, deep porch. You really must visit to see all of the lovely photos featuring up-close details.

The purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to take a photo or collection of photos from a post and recreate a look or feel similar to the photo. We hope that you will leave inspired to add a few touches to your home.

Porches come in all sizes. In fact, you may not even have a front porch. You may just have a front door with a stoop. That is perfectly fine! You can take elements from our looks to create one to fit your space.

I recently shared this year's front porch on this tour.

A lot of the elements from the inspiration photo are similar to our porch.

The Takeaway from the Inspiration

  • pumpkins in varying sizes
  • the colors of white, orange, neutral, rusty reds, and orange
  • mums
  • cabbage
  • texture with rugs and throw
  • classic lines with stripes on the rugs
  • light feature (Inspiration used a lantern. On the table, I used candlesticks)

Since I had already decorated our porch with these elements and more from the inspiration, I decided to decorate our dining table on the porch.

The weather has cooled slightly, and it is so pleasant dining out here this time of year.

It was a big treat for us to use this table, and munch on the appetizer for dinner last week.

The first thing that I did was add my neutral tablecloth with stripes just on the two sides. I love this tablecloth. It also has matching napkins. It works well with so many accent colors. The stripes here are a nod to the porch rugs in the inspiration photo.

You'll also notice the lines in the green throw that is placed in 2 of the chairs for a little extra color and texture.

I anchored the center with a fresh flower arrangement with grocery stores. The bouquet even has cabbage with a collection of mums.

Be sure to visit my Instagram account where I will have a video sharing how I created the arrangement.

To add a little color to the place settings, I incorporated these mini charcuterie boards for an appetizer. They were a huge hit!

I purchased the little boards recently at Hobby Lobby. I couldn't help myself. I purchased 8 to use on repeat. I found some that I have linked to on Amazon, but you will need to finish them. The ones from Hobby Lobby are food safe.

The centerpiece is asymmetrical. I one faux mum in this basket right beside the grocery store floral arrangement with the bulk of the pumpkins cascading off to the side of the real flowers.

The brass candlesticks and neutral candles give a romantic glow.

My husband even said that we should eat out here as much as we can in the coming weeks.

I am all for that request. There is just something about eating outside that I find so calming. We have so much wildlife around us.

We occasionally see our family of deer walking by to the back of the property. She had 3 babies this year. They are so sweet.

Do you notice the cluster of white pumpkins at the end of the porch? I carried that theme to the table with the mini white pumpkins. There are a few velvet ones added for additional texture.

The faux basket of mums looks so real. They are actually a set of 4. They are sprinkled throughout the porch.

There is even one ceramic pumpkin added.

Nothing new was purchased for this tablescape other than the fresh flowers and the little charcuterie boards.
