Christmas Kitchen Hutch
It has been a Christmas filled week on the blog!
Monday and Wednesday I shared areas of our home decorated for Christmas HERE and HERE.
I invite you to come inside today for the
12 Days of Christmas Tour
This year I selected 8 Maids a Milking.
I had Bessie in mind…..you know….the cow head in my kitchen. I love that thing!
The rest of my family thinks it is odd.
I introduce to you Bessie in Maids a Milking.
Christmas Kitchen Hutch
I went rather simple this year. Bessie borrowed a plaid scarf, and she is looking oh so festive!
I have ordered a set of boxwood wreaths. They still haven't come in yet. One was going to hang around her neck, but I'm liking the scarf for Christmas.
These adorable little bottle brush trees are from Walmart.
These milk bottles are perfect to complete the theme. Now 8 would have been too many here. You get the idea. Fill them with some flaked fake snow, paper straws and a plaid ribbon tied at the mouth. Very simple and fast. The bottles and supplies came from Michaels.
Notice even the platter has a plaid edge. I've had that platter for about 15 years. Still love it!
My thrift store wooden bowl has been used in many spots in our home. I wrapped a few Styrofoam balls with strips of red toile fabric. I filled it with those, red ornaments, strings of beads and pinecones for a rustic touch.
The sweet little cow pitcher and dairy can were all thrift store finds through the years.
Boxwood topiaries for everyday use just tied with a little red checked ribbon. That ribbon would be cute for Valentine's Day as well.
The DINER sign was a simple DIY paint project.
My teen daughter is having to sacrifice her boots on the porch and her scarf on the cow.
Thanks so much for visiting today during our tour.

Your vignette turned out so pretty! I love the little milk bottles on your beautiful hutch! It is all so perfect!
PS My cow is named Bessie too!
Thank you – these pictures made me remember some items in my attic. I was able to put together a lovely arrangement on my side table. I hope you will be showing us more decorated areas in your home. I loved your Christmas ideas last year as well.
Awww I love this so much Christy! Cows are one of my favorite animals love your interpretation for 8 maids of milking so adorable!
Such a creative and beautiful way to celebrate 8 Maids a Milking! I love all the details, Christy. The cow has GOT to be my fave 🙂
Merry Christmas!
What an adorable idea! I love the scarf around her neck! The whole vignette is beautifully put together!
Christy, I love Bessie and she’s lovely all decked out for Christmas. We have an elk in the front yard named “Fred.” He gets a wreath around his neck for the holidays. Jeanette
Your kitchen hutch is so beautifully decorated and I love how you interpreted the theme, it’s perfect!
Perfectly charming! I love all of the attention to detail. And Bessie looks great in that scarf.
Thanks, Sharon!!!
I love how you interpreted 8 maids a milking, Christy! I have that same cow and I guess families just can’t understand how adorable she is! She looks perfect in that scarf and I love all your little dairy touches. Perfect!!
I love my cow head too. I don’t have a name. Beautiful hutch

Awesome and the best is Bessie. Fabulous, Christy
I LOVE Bessie, she looks so festive now (and warm) but my favorite are those little milk bottles – precious!
Your hutch is gorgeous. I love your Christmas platter too, and your cow, so precious.
Love your Christmasy hutch! I think your Bessie is just awesome, especially perched below that Diner sign that I like so much. But sporting that plaid scarf? She’s really something! And the milk bottles are just adorable. What a great spot in your beautiful kitchen!
Your kitchen hutch looks so pretty decorated for Christmas. I’ve always loved your Bessie and think she looks marvelous for the holidays in her Christmas scarf. My favorite part of your vignette are the decorated milk bottles.
I love the scarf around Bessie’s neck, that and the “milk” bottles are just adorable! You have suggested the Eight Maids A Milking theme so well! Looks like you are all ready for Christmas.
