Casual Spring Tablescape

Thanks for sharing!

Casual Spring Tablescape

Happy, Happy spring friends! There are many things that we have little control over these days in the outside world, so let's enjoy our homes with what we have. Today is a new spring tour full of refreshing ideas for your home. While we can't get out and about to shop right now, I hope you are encouraged to shop your home to recreate looks you may see in today's post.

I'd like to thanks my sweet friend, Paula  from Sweet Pea , for organizing and hosting this tour. I'm sure you will be inspired. Be sure to check for all of the tour links at the end of this post to visit my blogging friends.

Here are some ideas for a casual French farmhouse spring tablescape in the kitchen! Mix new, vintage and thrift store decor for a lovely spring look!

breakfast room

I literally just finished painting our kitchen walls white. Only the large window is complete (minus the scraping of the paint so don't zoom in!) I am loving the fresh, new look. I've still got to get the walls decorated with art and window treatments hung.

It's amazing how a simple thing like paint can change the look of a space.

kitchen table

There are actually 3 thrift store makeovers on this table. Thrift store decor is a constant in our home. I mix new, vintage, antique and thrifty decor all the time.

Creating the Tablescape

  • select a runner for the table
  • center a large tray on the table
  • add candlesticks or candle holder
  • add faux eggs around the base of the candle
  • add a vase with faux flowers
  • cloche with faux eggs is a fun touch
  • fill in the tablescape with Easter and spring decor

Faux eggs are so easy to decorate with for spring. Just turn a cloche upside down and fill with eggs. Then top with a decorative plate and turn rightside up.

Mix your china! There are no rules. It's all about what you like and what appeals to you.

This thrift store farmhouse candle holder has been one of the most popular projects on the blog. It was so simple and has become a very versatile piece in our home.

We've been enjoying eating family dinners here each night with the kids home from college now. I can't wait to finish decorating this space.

  1. I love this. I would love it if you would share this on The Fabulous Friday Link Party this Friday. You can find the link on my website. Hugs to you.

  2. Christy I am SWOONING over your freshly painted dining room which is the perfect backdrop for the sweetest spring tablescape you have created! It is so gorgeous how it is, it never even crossed my mind that you would put curtains in there. I am sure it will be beautiful but I just love it how it is now too!

I have no shame in admitting that I am going to copy your little wreaths with roses on top of the urns on the little French urns that I always use in my tablescapes. I think that is just so adorable! I will link back to this post when I do and say I saw it here first!

You always give me so many ideas. I would love to come to your home one day in person when we are vacationing down south to just take in all of your treasures and your gorgeous landscape.

    Happy spring!

  3. First… the white walls look amazing with your furniture!! The furniture pops now and your sweet decorating is the icing on the cake! I hope you are all doing okay, Christy! Stay safe!

  4. What a beautiful tablescape, Christy! I love the thrift store candle holder makeover, too. I’m trying to imagine what your walls looked like before. The paint looks so bright and fresh. Loving those blue bowls with the pink pattern on the inside as well. Pinned!

  5. Hi, Christy! Your table is just incredible. I love the use of the eggs AND that blue china is just gorgeous! Too bad I can’t come over and actually see it in person! What a crazy world we live in. Great job, girl!

  6. I know it was wonderful having the kids home and having dinners at that beautiful table! My kids came home only for a brief moment but I loved it. Your table is so fun and happy and I espcially love your bunny urns. Can hardly wait to see what you do when you decorate your new walls and windows! Happy Spring Christy

  7. Christy, I just love your table’s centerpiece with the blues/pinks/greens! The eggs look wonderful and placed so well on your spring tablescape! Pinned! If you have a minute, feel free to share at Tuesday Turn About today!

  8. I love your spring tablescape Christy! I love all the spring colored eggs incorporated throughout your centerpiece and runner. The moss bunnies are so cute perched on top of the little urns. Those candleholders are gorgeous! The centerpiece is so eye-catching with the flowers, vintage postcard and egg filled glass cloche. So happy to be touring with you this week!

  9. How much fun it must be to set a pretty table in your freshly painted space! Love how all your blue and white pops against the white walls. All the pretty Easter decor really shows off beautifully. Love the bunnies with the roses on the urns; adorable! Fun to get to enjoy the big kids at home a little, isn’t it?

    1. Thanks so much, Lora! I can’t wait to get those wall decorated. Yes, I do love the kids being home. Lots of cooking going on! LOL! Take care during this time and enjoy spring!

  10. From the pedestals to the colorful Easter eggs in the cloche, your tablescape is lovely, Christy!
It’s always fun to visit your blog to see all of your creative ideas.

  11. Your table is gorgeous, Christy! The spring colors that you used for the table really pop with your freshly painted white walls in your breakfast room. I’ve been looking forward to seeing this room with its new paint and it looks so good! Your hard work paid off.

I love your table centerpiece with the eggs under a cloche, crock filled with flowering branches, and that adorable sign.

It won’t be long until it’s Easter morning and you can enjoy an Easter breakfast here with your family. Speaking of family, it’s sad that your college kids are having only online learning, but I’ll bet that you are glad to have them both home.

    1. Thanks so much, Paula!! I am loving the fresh look. Now I just need to get the walls decorated. Ashlyn is home completely. Woods has gone back to the apartment. I’m not comfortable with it, but he insists on being there for the better internet to complete his upper level engineering courses. UGH!!! Luckily he is just 20 minutes away. It still worries me. Clemson just had to shut down the Chick-fil-a on campus and in town due to employees testing positive. Stay safe and enjoy spring!!! XO

  12. Christy, your table is so fresh and uplifting. I love all the muted spring colored eggs with pops of spring green moss. The blue pottery is something I would not have thought of but totally works.

    1. Thanks so very much, Patti! So thankful to be in the spring season with all the pretty colors with being home during this time. Enjoy spring and stay well! XO

I love hearing from you!
