Favorite pins, rooms, ideas and more at Favorite Things Friday via Our Southern Home

It is hard to believe that it is November…..The hustle and bustle of all the upcoming holidays is now upon us!

I know it may sound nuts, but I'll start decorating for Christmas next week. We are going to mom's for Thanksgiving so I can get away with it. It gives me plenty of time to get decorated, photograph and get it to you right after Thanksgiving.

Onto some pretty! I have dining rooms on the mind. I've been working on our dining room. I just finished painting it from red to a light neutral. I'm just loving it. Working this week to hang art and style. Other plans include sewing a couple of pillows for 2 chairs and adding fabric to the back of the glass front china cabinet.

I love the balance of the black bookcases and the neutrals in the fabrics, wall and china. So want to slip cover our chairs.

I adore toile! I normally don't like it on wall paper, but since this room is so large….it really works!

This is exactly why I wanted to go from red walls to neutral. The dark furniture stands out so much against it! I can't wait to share mine with you! If you follow on Instagram @oursouthernhome, you can see the progress.

Our dining room is more suited for a round table, but I just love my set. It was purchased to fit our old house.

For a more casual space, this cozy breakfast area is just lovely from the Endearing Home.

Are you looking to obtain some of these looks?

If you sew, you can make lovely pillows with these French Grain Sack Reproduction sacks. Would make a great no-sew project as well.

Want the look in the form of a burlap table runner?

Boxwood topiaries look fabulous on tables and in vignettes. Such a versatile accessory!

A wooden tray in the center looks fabulous on top of  runner and adorned with a few of your favorite things.

Hurricane holders with candles and various fillers such as corks, beans and birdseed

A splurge on Spode dinner plates…..gosh I'd love some one day!

I hope you have a beautiful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. All those rooms are so pretty…and I think I have mentioned to you before that I also have a red dining room that I have been wanting to paint! I can’t wait to see more of yours!

  2. Some lovely dining rooms here. I love the inspiration for deciding what I want in my own dining room. I adore the slipcovered seats with the long skirts in the first dining room, just lovely, and a nice way to change things up throughout the year.

I love hearing from you!
