Guest Bedroom Decorating Ideas {French Country}

Thanks for sharing!

The Guest Bedroom…….the poor forgotten room.

Yes, our guest bedroom is rarely used.  Most of our family is local.

 Sometimes I wonder why we even have one!  As a result, it has been a bit neglected.  It is such a pretty one, and I've had such grand French Country plans for it…..but it just hasn't happened!

I've decided to change that, and on a strict budget!

All the necessary furniture is in place.  She just needs some added bedding, window treatments and a bit of accessorizing.

If you have seen some of my earlier posts, you know that I collect antique tole platters.  I had big plans for this wall which included adding more to the tole collection.  It has been like this for too many years….looking unfinished.

Why did I wait so long to do this?  I've had the set of plates for about 12 years and the green tole pieces for about two years!

The round table is soon to be history.  It is left over from the jewel tone era of the 90s.  I may keep it, but change the skirt to burlap.  I haven't decided yet.  The mahogany nightstand on the other side is part of a pair from our (cringe) bedroom set.  It is going to get a new paint job!

I'll be sharing more of this room and the upcoming updates soon!

Have a lovely day!
