Romantic Inspired Painted Furniture Two things I love….French Country and thrifting! I’ve really scaled back on the thrifting. When your husband hauls your entire stash to the barn and throws a tarp over it in a stall….there might be a problem! I’ve been shopping my stash lately! Some of my blogging friends and I decided in…
Last Friday I posted my completed Santa Photos Gallery Wall. You can find that post here. I will be posting a series of mini tutorials that go along with the gallery wall. The first tutorial is painting all the mismatched frames to unify the wall. These are the frames before collected since 1996. They are all some sort…
40 bloggers being asked to go thrift store shopping! I’m sure we all jumped at the chance. It’s one of my favorite places to shop. I am really enjoying the creativity of the shoppers and the DIYers this go around! Last time I got this…. I came up with this…. …
Photo Christmas Ornaments are a fun DIY craft using your home printer. Print your photos and turn them into ornaments perfect for gifts! It’s been a busy week! I’ll start by saying that I had to get dressed 3 days in a row to go out for appointments this week. That’s a lot for someone…
I confess I have a bit of a problem with finding my way into thrift stores. I’ve even gone out of my way to turn around and go back after my inner self said”NO”….keep driving. My inner self starts screaming, “You have a growing stash in the garage. Where will you park your poor car…
The organization bug has hit me….bad! I confess…it is greatly needed. It is a personal goal of mine over the next few months. If I don’t do it, my husband will! I can’t have that! What would he throw away??? My parents gave me 2 box sets of French looking Better Homes and…

I love this scarf. It looks so thick and soft and comfy! I don’t knit but my daughter started this summer so maybe I can talk her into making one of these when she’s home on break. . . ? A mom can wish. I don’t think she knows what blocking is yet so that’ll be something we’ll figure out together. Super cute model!
Thanks, Shannon! It is a fast, easy scarf and blocking is not hard either. Feel free to message me if your daughter has questions or needs additional help. 🙂
Beautiful scarf. My daughter is teaching herself too.
Thanks, Ann!!! I hope she loves it as much as I do!! You Tube will be her friend!
Just following you. My Mom knits. I am taking knitting needles at Thanksgivning and going to take a lesson or two. I saw a Martha Stewart pattern to use. Wish me luck.
Thanks, Lori!! So nice to meet you! That is great. 🙂 I taught myself to knit so you will do great with your mom teaching you. What a fun time you’ll have! I’d start with a simple garter stitch scarf…knit every row with a chunkier yarn and maybe size 15 needle, but your mom will be able to guide you along. Don’t expect perfect at first…embrace mistakes or you’ll be frustrated. I can’t wait to hear your progress.
Beautiful scarf Christy and such a beautiful model!
Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate you stopping by!! Have a beautiful day!
It’s beautiful Christy! I wish I could knit, but it’s a hobby I have left to my mother in law. I’m going to have to pass this post on to her and drop some hints about a Christmas gift! 🙂
Thanks so much! I love to knit, but struggle with the time to with everything else! I have many works in progress!! Please share with your mother-in-law! She would love the ease of the pattern. Hugs 🙂
