Saturdays on the Porch #31

Thanks for sharing!

Saturdays on the Porch #31 featuring this week's fashion looks and more from Our Southern Home for life and home.

Latest from OSH

I hope you have had an amazing week! Thanksgiving will be here in a few days!

What are your plans? We will have 8 over here for dinner.

I'm cooking a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.

It's supposed to be a nice day with a high of around 61. I'm sure we will spend time on our fall porch.

I wore this outfit yesterday. Everyone was home so all 4 of us went to Sam's and Lowes plus a couple of other errands.

I felt comfortable and put together.

These leggings are the best.

I like that they are a bit more polished and tailored with the notched hem at the ankles and the mock pockets and waistband on the front.

The denim shirt is lighter weight. It's perfect for layering under sweaters and jackets.

I have it tied at the waist. It would easily tuck in or just let hang loose. It gives good rear coverage.

Fit Tip: I am wearing a size 1 in both the leggings and denim shirt. You can shop my look below.

Woods will be graduating in December after 6 years in college. He played golf at a smaller school for 3 years earning a math degree and will be graduating in December with a computer engineering degree. We are proud parents. He did a couple of semesters of a co-op which made him take a bit longer. It was so worth it. It gave him engineering experience that I think has helped him get not one, but 2 job offers. We recently got this interview outfit for him. He looks so handsome.

Now he has a big decision to make! You can shop his look below.

Ashlyn will be graduating in December as well with a criminal justice degree. She is then going to take a 6-month long paralegal program through The University of NC in Chapel Hill. It starts in January. It's very hard to get into with limited spots. She will have to act fast when enrollment opens in December. Say a little prayer for her.

Ashlyn and Tim had engagement photos taken last weekend in Clemson University's Botanical Gardens. It was a gorgeous day.

I kind of lurked in the background out of the way and snapped a few cell pics of them getting pics.

We took a separate car from them so we could take Bentley. They wanted a few photos of him with them. I can't wait to see the finished photos.

The photographer took a few photos with Bentley. We then wandered through the gardens with Bentley to give them some privacy with photos just together. We met up with them later and they took a few more with him. We took a few photos of each other while there. It was just too pretty with all the fall color not to.

We then left for them to finish up without Bentley. I think they must have shot for over 2 hours.

Max and I then brought Bentley home and went out for a little date night.

We went furniture shopping for 2 new chairs for our bedroom.

We ended up ordering 2 recliners for our bedroom from Basset. It will be about 16 weeks before the arrival. We can't wait.

They do not look like a recliner. They are stationary in the back so they can go right up to the front of the bed. They are motorized in that the front footrest comes up and the back pillow adjusts to slide you forward a bit. They don't recline back.

We had dinner at Bone Fish Grill, and it was so good!

I wore this outfit that day. Max snapped a couple of photos of me.

I really love this poncho (provided by Chico's for an upcoming post). The short sleeve length was perfect for shopping. I had the body warmth, but ease of movement while inside. It's so unique and chic looking. I've got my eye on a couple of things from Chico's. Looking forward to their Black Friday sale.

I paired the poncho with a long-sleeved black tee (old) with my favorite faux leather Spanx leggings. You can shop the look below.

Fit Tip: I size up to a large in the Spanx leggings. I am wearing a S/M in the poncho jacket. It is a generous size.

I got this fabulous pic of my hubby with our Bentley.

There may be a custody battle over Bentley with Ashlyn getting married on September 10th and moving away from home. He is her dog, but it will be so hard on us and our cat for the separation. We might have to have a week at a time with him or something. I'm just not sure how all of that will play out. It looks like they will end up in Charlotte, NC with Tim's job. Right now they are completely remote, but talk of going back to the office in January. He's was supposed to move to Missouri a year and a half ago, but Covid kept them at home working remotely. So he has never had to move. Ashlyn is so thankful. Neither of them wanted to move so far away from home.

This is an incoming post with Belk. I thought I'd go on and share this belted poncho for the holidays. It's very flattering and comfortable with one size fitting. I'll be wearing it a lot during the holidays. It's so casual and festive.

I'm actually wearing the same as above with the cream poncho.
