Easy Sharpie Embellished Citronella Buckets
Create these easy Sharpie embellished citronella buckets for your backyard to ward of insects & create a little atmosphere. Great for gifts!
I am loving the colors that are out in the Cutter citronella buckets this year. I picked yellow. I love yellow outside….so bright and cheery!
I am of the belief that DIY and crafts can be super easy! This is so easy and quick! I purchased 3 of the buckets and wanted to do 3 different designs on them.
Supplies Needed
I had this bee stencil that I thought was just so cute. I taped it on to hold it in place. I would recommend outlining the bee lightly at first. Then remove the stencil and fill or color in the bee. I had a little bleed through at first, but finished with just outlining. Good news! As soon as I finished the bee, I was able to remove the part that had bled through with a dab of nail polish remover on a Q-tip. Just blot the Q-tip with a tissue to get off excess nail polish remover. Then let the marker design set up and dry.
The other 2 were simply freehand. Remember…they don't have to be perfect! I was able to draw in with pencil first just the main stem and L. Then go back with the marker.
Here is the freehand “L” by my Annie Sloan Chalk Painted Pots. You can find the pot tutorial HERE.

My favorite is the bee.
Most people have a black Sharpie on hand! The possibilities are endless for gatherings…Spell out a name with the buckets, decorate for a themed birthday, couples wedding shower theme! What else can you embellish with a Sharpie?
Happy summer y'all!
