Easy Sharpie Embellished Citronella Buckets

Create these easy Sharpie embellished citronella buckets for your backyard to ward of insects & create a little atmosphere. Great for gifts!

I am loving the colors that are out in the Cutter citronella buckets this year. I picked yellow. I love yellow outside….so bright and cheery!

I am of the belief that DIY and crafts can be super easy! This is so easy and quick! I purchased 3 of the buckets and wanted to do 3 different designs on them.

Supplies Needed

I had this bee stencil that I thought was just so cute. I taped it on to hold it in place. I would recommend outlining the bee lightly at first. Then remove the stencil and fill or color in the bee. I had a little bleed through at first, but finished with just outlining. Good news! As soon as I finished the bee, I was able to remove the part that had bled through with a dab of nail polish remover on a Q-tip. Just blot the Q-tip with a tissue to get off excess nail polish remover. Then let the marker design set up and dry.

The other 2 were simply freehand. Remember…they don't have to be perfect! I was able to draw in with pencil first just the main stem and L. Then go back with the marker.
