Thanks for sharing!

Create a basket riser for a pumpkin with this simple paint and stain technique + other creative ideas in this week's Home & Decor Encore.

We are finally experiencing a touch of fall-like weather with the 70s during the day and 50s at night. It's not exactly sweater weather, but I'll take it!

Baskets are such a great canvas for paint and stain. I took this plain apple basket and transformed it with a little paint.

Flip it over, and you've got a cute little riser to elevate your pumpkins. It's a great way to add a little texture to your displayed pumpkins.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing! This literally helped me solve a problem, because I have two large painted clay pumpkins for my porch and was trying to to figure out a way to elevate them. I was thinking of buying new planters as risers but after seeing your upside down basket, I got the idea to use some upside down vintage galvanized buckets! We are getting cooler temps here in Oklahoma this week, which has really gotten me in the mood to decorate outside for fall!

I love hearing from you!
