This month's Pinterest Challenge is so fun and simple for the Valentine's Day holiday.
Welcome to another installment of our monthly Pinterest Challenges hosted by my sweet friend, Cindy, from County Road 407.
This month for our Pinterest Challenge, we are recreating this darling Valentine's Day wreath created by Sky at Capital B. Be sure to give the blog a visit. I love this idea! I created my own look using similar elements.
Valentine's Day Wreath
Isn't this pretty! It's such a simple way to decorate but looks amazing.
If you are visiting from DIY Beautify, welcome! Cindy's home and decor projects are always stunning. I always leave inspired.
My takeaway from the wreath…..
- heart shapes
- whimsical
- red, white and pink
The beauty of Pinterest is that it's a springboard for inspiration. Don't feel like you have to break the bank recreating rooms, decor, and projects that you see.
Look at the takeaway! It's ok to take bits and pieces.
I made this wreath with the intention of it morphing through the seasons.
All that I have to do is pull out the flowers and change them with the seasons.
I picked up some simple supplies at Michael's. They were 40% off. The wreath ended up being really cheap.
The first thing that I did was to lay it all out and play around with the placement.
A little floral wire tied to the top of the loop of ribbon on the quilted heart secured it to the wreath.
Floral Picks || Glue Gun || Glue Sticks || Red Ribbon || Stripe Ribbon
I've had this bag of floral picks for years. I used these to adhere the small hearts to the wreath.
I placed a bit of hot glue in the center of each heart. I pinched it together just a touch and held it for a minute to set up.
The little picks allow you to tuck them in the grapevine wreath. I just wrapped the ribbon around and tied it to the back. It's easily removable.

Would you believe that these topiaries are faux! I've had them for almost 2 years, and they have been the best investment for our covered porch! You can read all about how I planted them in my existing urns.
Up next on the hop is my sweet friend, Paula, from Sweet Pea. I love all of her vintage treasures. I know you will love her darling wreath.

Christy, great look for a Valentine’s wreath. It fits the style of your felony porch perfectly. Happy to be hopping with you again. Happy Valentine’s Day.
Hi Christy! I love that you used those green picks (my used to use those back in the 1960s to make different crafts!) to add new things to your wreath!!! I love the Valentine’s finds you added and what a great idea to just put things in then switch them out. 🙂 I DO do that with my hanging door basket and another French wire frame basket but haven’t made a wreath that way… On my list now! 😉
Oh, and I do love your two topiaries!! I have a three ball living one outside (which needs another haircut, but have to wait for warmer weather) and a small juniper I bought at Christmas to create a small topiary this spring. I pinned to my Ethereal Gardens and Decor board since they look really real!!
Enjoy your Valentine’s wreath and all your lovely decor! Happy almost Valentine’s Day to you,
Hugs,
Barb 🙂
I love how you updated your wreath, and now it looks fresh and new again. Saves time and money which we all love! Cute puffy hearts and your smart hack of adding the picks is brilliant!
I love it, what a fabulous idea to transform the wreath you already had. Adding the few extras to make it Valentines was perfect. Smart lady
I have liked that wreath since the first time you shared it. Updating instead of replacing is the smart way to decorate. Your porch is all set for Valentine’s Day and it looks so welcoming.
Cute, Christy! Smart that you’re just adapting the same wreath through the seasons!
I love your wreath! It is so cute and I also love how you made your own decorative picks!
So smart to repurpose a wreath throughout the seasons! I think that’s why I’ve shied away from heart-shaped wreaths in the past. I like having lots of options. Your wreath looks perfect on your porch!
hi christy! I love the SIZE of your wreath! Dang! I wish I had thought of that! Love the ribbon and the picks! I need to step it up on the next wreath! xo laura
It’s always great when we can add a few different touches to a decor item and make it work for another season! Great twist on the inspo photo, Christy!
That is a great way to make your own picks. Cute pops of red make it festive for the holiday. What a great way to reuse a year round wreath. Adorable.
I like how you reuse what you already have. I try and do the same. And I love those little puffy wreaths! Super cute. Thanks for joining in. Pinned
Suuuper cute Christy! And what a smarty pants, to remake an old wreath! Your little hearts are adorable, and I love your sweater!
I love the new Wreath. Thank you for sharing.
I love being able to repurpose decor! You did a lovely job updating your wreath for Valentine’s Day! Can’t wait to see what you do with it next!
I’d love it if you’d share it at my link party this week, too! Sundays on Silverado!

What a cute wreath. I love how you made your own decorative picks!
